Re: Why Batman got banned in Norway in 1990

In Australia in the 60s, we had a TV commercial for milk which claimed, "Drink milk... and fly through the day." The actor, wearing a cape and holding a glass of milk, would get lifted up and out of the scene. The ad came off TV after several kids in Superman capes leaped off their roof or...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

Are these stands for sale? I got mine on eBay "Buy it now". 5 x 20 bags should help me out. They are "Star Stands Type 1", made to fit the original Kenner "Star Wars" figures. They work well with the Funko lines. (The pegs are too thick to fit Bif Bang Pow! figures.)

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #80: The ’66 Batman comic strip: Having it both ways

I well-remember the ongoing b/w comic strip we got in the Sydney newspaper every Sunday, in the kids' section, in the 60s. Later, coinciding with the arrival of Batgirl in the TV series Down Under, the Sunday strip ran the newspaper version of the DC comics' Batgirl debut. It was great, but it wasn'...

Re: HOLY SIGHTSEEING! Take a Modern Tour of 1966 GOTHAM CITY

No doubt about it, for me the best part (the most moving) would be police headquarters. Great stuff, great pics. Agree! My heart almost stopped when the Warner Bros' Studio Executive tour shuttle jiggled past the Gotham City Police Headquarters in January 2013 but, because I was with a former emplo...

Re: Fourth Season Myth

Actors often learn much of this "Will we get renewed/axed?" news through their agents, who often filter and embellish the facts to keep their clients calm.

Re: Just Found the PENGUIN Nano Metal Fig today!!!

That Robin is from the Gentle Giant mini superpowers figure. The cards are neat because they look like small versions of the original Kenner cards. I have Batman Robin and Joker which I'm going to put up on eBay shortly. Thanks! I guess someone had removed it from its original outer packaging and i...

Re: Has anyone else seen the New Classic TV Series Batman Nano Metalfigs Figure?

This metal Robin figure is in the same scale, but not in the Nano series. I found it recently for $2 in a clear blister (but no printed packaging info), so I assume it's a gaming figure? He has a cloth cape. I hadn't planned on buying the "Batman '66" Nano figure, but I sent my US penpal s...

I realise that. The "modern" ones do seem to have a different peg size? So it's "vintage" for the Funko line?
