Re: Who is in the Bat-suit?

Great question! We can assume this is the BATMAN 1966 Movie World premiere which was held in Austin Texas (home to where the Batboat was built) on July 30, 1966. The movie premiered at the Paramount https://www.statesman.com/gcdn/authoring/2017/06/20/NAAS/ghows-TX-bafefbb6-6c71-40cc-ad32-f48a769deed...

Re: McFarlane 7” 1939 Batman

Ha ha-- my complaint is the inside of the cape isn't light blue.
But yeah, now that you mention it, the cowl is off. ;)

Re: A Letter from Lewis Wilson (The Original Batman)

They seemed to have stopped referring to them as "pictures" in the 70s.
But I agree- there's a real charm to this kind of speaking/thinking.

Re: Fun photo for theatrical showing of the movie serial “Batman and Robin”

I spent a lot of time at the Brattle in Cambridge and came across a poster from July or August of '65 that had the Batman listing so Time calling it for Chicago has always seemed off. I do think it's chicken and the egg time-- the revival absolutely came first-- no question-- but Dozier and crew hav...

Re: Fun photo for theatrical showing of the movie serial “Batman and Robin”

It's actually the revival that happened in 1965, so before the show- all fifteen chapters of each of the serials were released as AN EVENING WITH BATMAN AND ROBIN-- initially folks thought it was only the '43 serial that got the binge treatment, but it was actually both of them depending on which a...

According to Amazon I bought this 7 years ago-- I assume I watched it and forgot about it-- so it doesn't speak well for the movie or my memory.

Not much to the handle-- but as you can see not much is visible when he's holding it-- I also switched out the cape it came with to a standard Doc Mego type cape and I think it works better.

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

My grandson found my Batmobile bank that came out a few years ago. I went looking for my Simms Batmobiles, but it’s tucked away, so plan B is the customized McF Batmobile image0.jpeg He loves the way it rolls And that right there is what toys are meant for. We can enjoy collecting them, but never f...
