Re: Batgirl Movie Cancelled

Keep in mind that a big chunk of money for most modern movies is advertising. If they kill it in post-production they save a bundle.

Re: FIBERGLASS FREAKS RAIDED!!

I hope all this works out for Mark and the financial impact is negligible. I really can't believe a sheriff can justify sending 4 people halfway across the country to basically do a favor for a friend. I expect that there will be some investigations into this situation and the sheriff will realize t...

I recommend the show "The Old Man" on FX

My wife and I started watching this show and we both think it is excellent. Lots of intrigue and good plot twists that aren't gimicky. Jeff Bridges is the title character. He is a former CIA agent who worked in Afghanistan helping the locals fight the Russians. Some of what he did is now coming back...

Munchkin Batman game

The Munchkin franchise has added Batman to the other 319 versions of the game. If you don't know what Munchkin is, you need to look it up if you are considering getting this. Basically, it is a bizarre game where players wheel and deal and backstab each other to get to 10 points. They use a lot of b...

Re: Batgirl Movie Cancelled

I'm no expert, but it is my understanding that a lot of movies lose money, at least on paper. There is just as much creativity in the accounting departments as there is in the script development; maybe even more! Maybe they needed this movie to lose a lot of money to offset gains somewhere else. Any...

Re: Black and Decker drill

Soap box: I cringe when I see old photos likes this, no PPE! I drilled a few holes today using a pneumatic drill and I had on safety glasses and hearing protection. I won't use power tools with eye protection and usually I use hearing protection too. We now return to our regularly scheduled bat-prog...

Re: High C Has Passed Away

This is shocking. I lost another online friend 2 months ago. My other friend, Arthur, was part of a small group of four that played online games together probably 20 years ago now. I really hadn't talked to Arthur in years as our little group stopped playing a long time ago. Up until his passing he ...

How often do you quote the show?

I was doing some woodworking yesterday and in the middle of drilling a hole my battery powered drill stopped. Of course, I had to say, "Confound it! The batteries are dead!"

Miss Kitka kisses Bruce in the movie. Bruce, not Batman, and Miss Kitka not Catwoman, but pretty darn close.

Makes me wonder if Ben had to watch the "How to Behave in America" film before he moved here?

Re: My Ranking of the '66 Molls

For those who want to get a true sense of what a great actress Julie Gregg was, a second season "Kojak" where she has a five minute scene as a drug addict going through withdrawal is one of the most compelling things I have ever seen and why she didn't get an Emmy for it I'll never know. ...
