Re: My lunch with Hubie Kearns!

This has been discussed before. It was released as "Scream, Evelyn, Scream!" in 1970. Burt Ward had a small part as a guy in a dune buggy. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3616910/ http://templeofschlock.blogspot.com/2008/11/lost-and-still-not-found-case-file-2.html It's always puzzled me. Afte...

Re: ROBIN ROOTERS ???????

I'm 100% certain Yvonne wasn't approached. They are celebrating the heyday of the series, not the decline. For me it's all Adam anyway. The show was called BATMAN. It's West, Bale, Keaton, Kilmer & Clooney. In order of importance. Personally, Adam West is the one I wanted to see. Glad they got i...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DV

Blake's health wasn't that great. In fact, she died less than a year after the show went off the air Plus, they needed to cut a salary to fit in Yvonne's. Obviously, she made more per week than Madge did, but they couldn't afford to have seven regulars on the payroll. Yvonne was a hottie, but I'd r...

Re: What I wish would have happened...

I sort of enjoyed Dr. Cassandra. If she's been given a creepier storyline, and Cabala made into a sort of gigolo character, and if her costume hadn't been so absolutely appalling, it could have been a very good episode. Shoot, I wish they'd drafted Ida Lupino into directing Batman episodes! She had ...

Re: HOw many characthers were killed off ..or nearly so..?

My recall may be a bit hazy, but I swear that in the final fight scene in the final episode of the 'Lord Ffogg' trilogy, Batman swung a battle axe into one of Ffogg's goons with a ferocity unseen until Jack Nicholson waylaid Scattman Crothers in 'The Shining'! If you think I'm joking, roll the tape!...

Re: Thoughts on the pilot

Because in the pilot the Batcave/Atomic Pile was horrifying. It was only later that Alfred (old but not doddering) dusted the thing wearing an apron.

Re: Behind-the-scenes/filming pictures

Nice finds, antman67! I'm terrible with faces, but is that first one you posted today Marcelle with her two children? It kind of looks like it could be the function that Adam and Marcelle met at. Good call Gleeps, I'm almost certain that is Marcelle West. And Adam looks absolutely great there. Read...

Re: World's Greatest Henchman

So many! As a Clock King fan, Michael Pate as Second Hand Three was a great henchman. Hat's off to that wonderful actor. Definitely in the top ten. Octopus WAS fantastic. You had to look for it, but Vic Lundin (who also appeared in Robinson Crusoe on Mars along with Adam West) was doing some interes...

Re: Someone help me out on this, please!

His name is Clancy, but I don't remember ever hearing him say it. Clancy in the comics, but not used in the series. That scene rings a bit of a bell with me. With Gordon talking consolingly to O'Hara. But not sure. It could be childhood re-remembrance. I thought for certain there was an episode whe...

Re: Mary Ann Mobley R.I.P.

Very sorry to hear that! She seemed very sweet. And was Dozier's first choice for Batgirl! Based on the comics he'd seen, I'm guessing. http://www.for-your-eyes-only.com/Site/UNCLEtline65_files/april-solo-illya.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EDS1SE4CipE/TVe6gjtc6iI/AAAAAAAABA4/kxmyimjBV9o/s400/BATMAN...

Re: BATMAN: Season 3 - which was best?

As I ay , a missed opportunity. I wholeheartedly agree ankh. If given a little more loving care, and decent writing, it might've been the film length string of episodes that the 2nd season 3-parters (especially the Joker/Penguin team up) hoped to be, that would have released in Europe as a feature ...

Re: BATMAN: Season 3 - which was best?

The Siren, I think, is far above all the others. Then in order, both King Tut episodes (especially Mummy's Uncle), both Louie the Lilac episodes, Dr. Cassandra, The Joker's Flying Saucer, Enter Batgirl, Ring Around the Riddler, The Londinium Larcenies (with a bunch of cuts it might've been a worthy ...

Re: Talk Episodes Here

Another example of remastering bringing out things not noticed before. In "Purrfect Crime" I could tell that the newsclipping of Mark Andrews the Commissioner hands Batman is not the one we saw a close-up of earlier! It looks to show a woman in fact. Nice! I doubt one in a thousand people...

Re: Comic book men

I assumed after the camera stopped rolling Kevin Smith came running out the comic shop yelling, "Wait! I'll take it!" I remembered the 'Stars' Hall of Fame' pic from Adam's book. Unbelievable that a piece of history like that got removed. http://graphicpolicy.com/2014/11/17/tv-review...
