Re: Good acting by secondary characters in the show

So many good ones in the first season! Egyptian leading man Alex D'Arcy was great in a small part as the shop keeper in the very beginning of Fine Feathered Finks.

Re: "Batman" Spoof On 1966 Bob Hope Special

I loved it. The first Batgirl! Martha Raye and Yvonne Craig were both small in stature & well-endowed, and that's where the similarity ends. Did anyone notice the boxes "TNT" and "more TNT"? (Eye Roll) And this before Stanley Ralph Ross ever penned an episode! :) [youtube]htt...

Re: "Batman" Spoof On 1966 Bob Hope Special

OMG finally! I've only seen short clips or stills from this. I'd given up it would ever be unearthed. Jill St. John was not especially known for the series, or probably even remembered except for by a few. It's have been great for us if she's been included, but back then, the viewing audience wouldn...

Bob!!!! What can I say? FANTASTIC! But it was Joyce Van Patten. I got that right. What a ridiculously wonderful cast.

Re: Adam West doing theater in 1972.

They're great. He was looking quite thin during that period. Here's on I saw on EBAY from 1972. Wow, he's Clint Eastwood thin there. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ADAM-WEST-BATMAN-ACTOR-IN-1972-COLOR-SLIDE-TRANSPARENCY-/253543635747?nma=true&si=iNkMRQRkqoI%252FNFmH1NdP5dJvdfY%253D&orig_cvip=true&...

Re: Adam West doing theater in 1972.

Yeah, great cast. The mature blonde beside Avery Schriber I believe is Marian Mercer, who was in this terrible syndicated series I used to watch called It's A Living . The other blonde looks a bit familiar. Looks a bit like Joyce Van Patten. Is West striking in that uniform or what?!! This pic is fr...

Adam West doing theater in 1972.

This is kind of a find! In the big pic, he's with William Schallert who played "Retired Man" on the Legends of the Superheroes debacle. It looks like Art Carney and Robert Cornwaite both who appeared in "Crooked Arrow" also appeared in plays at the same theater. Pretty cool. http...

Re: What all is there of the 60's Batman Series?

There is an episode of the old "Police Woman" series entitled "Guns", that aired on season 4 in 1977. It briefly shows Adam West. playing a killer, reading a Batman comic book. :) I'd love to get it just to see which issue it was! I saw it when it aired. He looked similar to this...

Re: Lost British crossing safety spot found

In his book, Adam mentioned that he filmed a spot because British kids were jumping from windows, trying to be 'Batman'. Has this ever surfaced?

Re: A Change In Perspective: King Tut episodes

Adam West was obviously still trying to be creative wherever he found the chance. Although he was by this time guest-starring on his own show.

Re: Will Adam West be in the "Deaths of the Year" section of the Oscars?

What movies was he known for? :) What movies were Chuck Berry known for?!! 'Hail Hail Rock & Roll' which starred Keith Richards? He should never have been included. Dorthy Malone received an academy award nomination, but was not included in the memorandum. She should have been! Every story I've ...

Re: Will Adam West be in the "Deaths of the Year" section of the Oscars?

And the great thespian Chuck Berry was recognized. So many iconic film roles! I loved him as Julius Caesar! And as General Patton in Tora, Tora. Tora! And his long partnership with Ingmar Bergman. I like his Bergman period the best. A quite rare achievement as a film actor. I understand he sang a li...
