Re: TO THE BATPOLES #115: Two Batman Parodies

T and P, Do you think you can do another episode with more Batman parodies. Cracked did one or two more, and Mad did an interesting two pager a few years ago, where the Frank Miller Batman came into the 60's Batman world.

Batman 66 Greeting Cards?

Guys, Did anyone ever come across Batman 66 Greeting/Holiday Cards at drug stores or super markets? I remember seeing some advertising on the internet when the licenses for the Batman 66 merchandise cleared. However, for some reason, I've never seen them at stores.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #115: Two Batman Parodies

How about the Cracked one. That was one of the best parodies. Ever. Don't remember the issue number. But the villains looked like their tv counterparts, and that made all the difference. You could also tell that the writer had a great deal of love for the Adam West version.

Any Bowling State lectures available?

Dear Bat-Fans: In April there was a "Batman in Popular Culture Conference" at Bowling Green State University, there was some talk about it here. But in the time since, has anybody found out if any of the talks are available via podcast or any other means on the internet. I know some lectur...

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

There was something special about the sixties. Television was fun, and while it could be super silly, almost to the shows detriment (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, the latter seasons of Lost in Space, and of course, Batman). I do prefer those programs to what's it out now.

Re: Batman 1966 Tribute Commercials Bradesco Seguros

Those are some of the best commercials since the spanish department store chain did the Catwoman/Wonder Woman/Batgirl ones. Really those are fun. It' a shame they did that much work for commercials that are so short. They should have been a full minute. Wonder if the people who produced those ads ha...

Re: SCRIPT: THE FUNNY FELINE FELONIES

I would have liked to have seen how it existed on script. Or even in SRR's head. Wouldn't that have been interesting?

Re: SCRIPT: THE FUNNY FELINE FELONIES

[/quote] This is from a Stanley Ralph Ross interview in the late 1990s. Go to the 18:50 mark in 'chapter 2' and he claims he wrote a script in which Batman and Eartha Kitt's CW were 'married' on the ferry. Of course, the problem is this scene never aired, even though he claimed it did. But despite t...

Re: SCRIPT: THE FUNNY FELINE FELONIES

sive, hard-to-shoot scenes for his own enjoyment, knowing they'd be excised. In a similar vein, he has a line in the treatment in which Catwoman says, 'the only way I'll ever kill Batman is with love and kindness.' It's as if he also was trying to rebel against the new edict of 'ixnay on the romanc...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #099: The Kitt-y Cat Shows her Claws

Always wish Stanley Ralph Ross was still alive, so that we could clarify some rumors about these Earth Kitt Catwoman episodes. And I wish even more that I could remember where I first heard some stories. Wonder what the first drafts were like before the networks forced any changes?
