Re: The Shakespeare Bust is about to give up it's secrets!

First test fit of the head into the body!!! WOO HOO!!! Kinda looks familiar now...

As I work through the process, if I wasn't trying to match an existing piece, the edits to make this Shakespeare would have taken about two or three days.

Re: The Shakespeare Bust is about to give up it's secrets!

Sorry for the confusion! Yes, that was the Diamond select head next to what I am working on.

I had to return my first bust from them because the head had sunken into the chest so much.
The second was still collapsed but not as much..

Re: The Shakespeare Bust is about to give up it's secrets!

I'm calling this done until I test fit it into the collar opening.
The folks that made the original may be great prop makers but they had no clue how to model beards!! Hilariously bad!!!

Re: The Shakespeare Bust is about to give up it's secrets!

It's amazing what a little facial hair can do!!! The first pass with Magic Sculpt. I'll tool it more when it sets. Slowly starting to look like an old friend!!! When I saw the bust in person, I was surprised just how good the piece actually looked. It was the first time I even thought about making o...

I also wanted to say THANK YOU to our fearless Leader Scott. Without his fantastic photos of the bust he took at the auction, it would be ...

Re: Shakespeare bust appearance

My guess is that the Batman production made a copy of the Shakespeare bust at 20th Century Fox studio to make their bust. Looking at the bust in the Halloween H20 film, I think THAT is the Dobie Gillis bust based on color, finish and there is no hard line where there would be if it had the separate ...
