Re: World of Wheels: Chattanooga 1987, Atlanta 1989
Here are some photos my dad took at the Atlanta World of Wheels in 1989. I previously posted one of these photos in another thread, but he found the remaining photos in a dresser drawer. My brother and I were in the throes of Batmania Part II, so we are both wearing our ’89 Halloween costumes that w...

World of Wheels: Chattanooga 1987, Atlanta 1989
My father dug up some photos he took at the World of Wheels auto show in Chattanooga in January of 1987. Though I saw Adam again in ’89, this was the only time I got to see the Dynamic Duo in costume. I included most of the photos since some of the lesser shots show details of the costumes they were...

Re: Batgirl's First Halloween
Thanks for passing that along, Scott. I hope that I can take my daughter to see Yvonne at some future appearance. I got to spend a few hours with Yvonne at a radio promotion in Atlanta in the mid-90s, and it would be nice to have a new photo with the next generation. The baby has already met Adam We...

Re: Batgirl's First Halloween
Thanks, all! I definitely owe a debt to the knowledge and talent (and willingness to share) on this forum. I have gleaned a ton of information and reference images from your work and discussion. This project was a delight, so I'm sure there will be custom Halloweens for years to come. And if I raise...

Re: Batgirl's First Halloween
Here's a shot of the costume pieces. I bought the onesie, tights and socks at Babies 'R Us and Amazon. I made the artwork for the onesie in Adobe Illustrator and applied it using three colors of heat press vinyl. For the cowl, I made a simple structure out of the stiffest, non-fusable interfacing I ...

Re: Batgirl's First Halloween
I got in on the action, too. The Batman outfit comes from my father's collection, so I don't know the costume maker(s). Some of the eagle-eyed members of this forum will probably recognize parts of it. If all goes well, you're looking at our third generation of '66 Bat-fan. Batman_Family-2.jpg Batma...

Batgirl's First Halloween
I've had several custom bat-projects in the works for awhile now, but I finally finished one because I had a real deadline: baby's first Halloween! I didn't do it alone, however. My mother sewed the cape and cowl from my patterns. Here are a few photos. I'll provide some of the costume details in a ...

Re: What font is the Riddler's question mark?
It's hard to pin down since it's hand-drawn onto stretchy fabric (or possibly silkscreened from a drawing?) It definitely took on a slightly different shape when Astin wore it
I redrew it as closely as I could manage, trying to retain some of its imperfections.
