You mean for the radio grille? I already have vacuformed a piece for that - the white circle in my photo. I will simply drill holes in it. But thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Old School Bat Radio
And the way the bottom is hollowed out perplexes me - why was the bottom left open? For wires to go to electrical lines? If it actually lit up, did it use an external power source, rather than running off an internal battery? On Clint's replica, the bottom is not open.

Re: Old School Bat Radio
I guess I always assumed it was a functional switch of some kind, since Clint's replica has a working light. Honestly, I can't remember ever seeing it illuminated on the show or in the film. But why would the interior be hollowed out if it didn't need the room for a functional light installed? I thi...

Re: Old School Bat Radio
A super quick update on the small amount of progress I've made. Procured the solid brass rod for the antennae, and vacuformed the piece for the grill, with which I am very pleased. Awaiting the arrival of the brass spheres for the top of the antennae, and figuring out what the heck the bottom switch...

Oh, it's a very clever idea - and not mine! I'm pretty sure I ripped it off from QuickBat Allan.

Re: Old School Bat Radio
Ha - QQ, is does look like one of those, doesn't it? Except in brass.
This is on hold for a few more days - the balls I ordered for the antennae tops were too small. Oops.
Still looking for input on that switch at the bottom! Anyone? Bueller?

Re: Biff-Pow-Zap!
Got your message. I'll send you the files later Thursday night. Like I said, the graphics are nothing special - I did them really fast. But they're cleaner than anything you can get by just googling stuff. If they're useful for you, that's great! Someday I hope to get the time to do some really nice...

Re: Biff-Pow-Zap!
Just what are you looking for, and for what use? I threw together a couple of different ones to make punch signs to use at NY Comic Con this past year. I think I had Kapow!, Biff!, Pow!, and Sock! They're nothing special, but they do the job. I just tweaked things I found on Google Images using Phot...

Re: Old School Bat Radio
I can't quite figure out what the grey button at the bottom is. Is it some kind of push on/push off button with a rubber cap over it?? Is there an off-the-shelf equivalent? Anyone with a CY replica chime in here - Clint seems to have nailed it.

Old School Bat Radio
So, just for giggles, to have another recognizable handheld prop I could easily carry to conventions, etc, I decided to make a Bat Radio. Out of real wood, like the original prop. I beg your tolerance and forgiveness, as I am NOT someone skilled at woodworking. I am just hacking away at this for fun...

Re: Dust and Cowl Care
This is the case I use for displaying cowls. It is a football helmet display case, but it can be turned on end. All sides are clear. The best price I've found is here on Amazon, but if you shop around, you may find a better price. Custom cases were just too expensive for my taste. http://www.amazon....

Re: Batman 66 Halloween costumes
Even if it's only a prototype, how could you even SHOW a Robin with no mask at all?? How unbelievably cheesy!

Re: Batman 66 Halloween costumes
This would not have helped anyone very much - they are not the final production costumes. They are clearly only prototypes - many, many things are not the same as the real finished products that were sold.

Re: Batman 66 Halloween costumes
Not to be a wet blanket here, but it's been my experience that once a costume is out, it's done. For example, all those Rubies "Deluxe" Star Wars costumes, like the Vader and the Stormtrooper, which were fraught with inadequacies, came out years ago and have not changed one iota since. Lic...
