Hmm. That seems like a stretch, not to mention obtaining the right to use Gene Winfield's Reactor (the season 3 "Catmobile" minus the garish "cat" add-ons) as the base of the vehicle.

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

The Green Hornet & Kato are not the IPs of DC/WB. Unless McFarlane Toys produces characters from non-DC properties, I'd doubt they would ever make GH & K figures. This is an interesting point that I would have instinctively agreed with BWH on until recently. Our friends at FanSets released ...

Re: JazzInc has a new chatroom for 1966 Batman vehicles

If JazzInc produces a Newmar Catwoman, I hope they sculpt a actress-accurate body and not put some generic figure into the costume.

Re: Backdrop for 1966 Black Beauty

I’ve been playing around on Photoshop to make a backdrop for the 1966 Black Beauty. Used an old Whitman graphic for the candy advertisement. I made some modifications to it and placed it on a brick wall, then added gutter downspouts. Not the best, but better than nothing. I don’t have a means of sh...

Great find, and its in very good condition. I do not see many dings or scratches on the head or vac-metal parts!

Re: GH Movie News

Ugh. I do not like the idea of Pine as Reid. He was a lousy Kirk, and would only look like a stunt-casting distraction from the character, a problem i've had with some of the Marvel movies.

Re: 1966 Chrysler Imperial GH tribute on eBay

Close...but at $35K???? Nope...nope...nope. At least it's a 66. BUT...Let me ask you this...with the thought that there is a new movie in the offing...what car would you think COULD be a new Black Beauty? Unless the film is an adaptation of the Dozier series, no part of it--including the Black Beau...

Re: Corgi Batmobile reissue BIG NEWS

But what if WB forces them to Upgrade the car. BWH - Did you mean the 1/50 or the 1/43 elite. That elite model is sharp. I/50 has a number of issues, as part of its charm. I believe I'm thinking of the 1/43 version. Just reading BatToys' post, it seems Corgi will reissue the original (matte) Batmob...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #202: British Batmania: A Slow Burn

Another interesting show, guys! Ben, thanks for shining light on the perception of the '66 series from non-American eyes. I know several people from the UK who were old enough to recall watching Batman when it was first distributed there, but they never go into the same kind of detail about its impa...

Re: Corgi Batmobile reissue BIG NEWS

Agreed; the point (at least as I see it) is to recreate the original product, not come up with yet another "more accurate than ever before" version (e.g., Mattel's 1:50 car released a few years ago).

Re: 1/6 Joker, 1966 , 4 options By Mars Toys

I think we clarified this in the other thread, but again for the sake of the dialogue here, it was a different company who were planning on releasing the 1/6th Batman and Robin. That has now gone away due to the rightful cease and desist that Hot Toys imposed, given that they were clearly re-casts....

Re: Aurora Batman Repro Model Kit?

3. Batman is in the woods swinging around a dead tree! I am beginning to think the sculptors at Aurora might have thought Batman was a Halloween character - I may be wrong, but it’s an interesting, different take on the character of Batman if that were the case. I believe they knew who Batman was; ...
