Re: Batman from comic book to TV
With a comic book adapting the show in publication, it would be a great time for DC to collect these stories in a trade paperback utilizing the Batman 66 logo. They tried a similar project when Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was running in the 90s. This would be a brilliant idea, ...

Re: Batman from comic book to TV
Some stories on Batman 66 were adapted from the comics. Below are cover images and inks to pages about the books in the DC Wiki. The first one I'm not sure of the last two I know were used on the show. This may have been adapted as The Joker Is Wild http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081128151...

Re: Faithful To The Comic?
Many so-called "true" Batfans (such as Michael Uslan whose attitude I don't like) have argued how bad the 1966 show was to the Batman mythos. Really? Just how close was the show to the comics? Judge for yourself... http://www.arkhamverse.com/news/2013/08/the-legacy-of-the-batman-part-4-co...

Re: Question about Holy Batmania
Thanks, Scott. I noticed a brief clip in one of the documentaries somewhere of Yvonne walking with Adam, Burt, and Julie on what looks like maybe the Warner Bros backlot (can anyone confirm that?,) so I assume she was involved in the late 80s promo stuff they did for whatever network the show would...

Re: Question about Holy Batmania
I rented Holy Batmania from Netflix recently, and I see they give credit to Yvonne Craig, but she doesn't appear anywhere on it. Does anybody know if her segments were removed from the rental version of the disks? I would like to know more about this as well, because the unaired batgirl pilot is in...

Re: Cesar Romero Costume Color?
The question was there a GREEN outfit that he wore during the series, and it was later changed to plum? The Joker's costume is green in the show's opening credits, but that's about it. Speaking of different colors for his costume though, has it ever been explained as to why the producers chose to ma...

Re: SPOILERS: Just Read Batman 66 Comic #1-Discussion Thread
I was impressed with the way the villains’ faces were drawn, especially Gorshin’s. Again, maybe it’s a Greenway contract thing that they can’t use images of Hamilton, Napier, Repp and Blake, but I’m quite encouraged that Siren, when she appears, will look like Joan Collins. Here’s hoping. Actually ...

Re: Batman Behind the Scenes
The behind the scenes show definitely gives one a sense of what it was like at that time, although I wish Adam and Burt had been interviewed. Still, a terrific find! Well i'm not sure if it had anything to do with telescope's behind the scenes show on the series. But i do remember seeing an on set ...

Re: Image Request - Can Anyone Help?
Hello, all. I am looking for a full-body image of Romero's Joker, to use in an upcoming analysis of the Joker's evolution in non-comics media. Does anyone have one in their collection? Preferably in color, and as large as possible. Thank you. This was the image that came up in most of my searches, ...

Re: Batman 1943 And 1966
He didn't have much in the belt in those first four years, rope, baterang (spelled that way) not much else. The crazy gadgets came later. The show was heavily influenced by the serials. Actually according to an interview that William Self did for the book Eye on Science Fiction, this dosen't seem t...

That would be an excellent idea. Because I e-mailed her about this a while ago but I never got a response.Batguitarist wrote:Lets ask Julie herself.

Re: Spinning Bat Transition Scene Question
I t always bothered me that I don't really know what's spinning in the background when the red Bat zooms up and recedes. Does anyone know what it is? I think I partially saw a red label that looks like it's from the Batmobile - possibly the rollbar - but I really have no idea nor have I ever. Appre...
