Re: UPDATE: FUNKO Says BATMAN ‘66 Wave 2 Out This Summer

I picked at the FTC line, as the price point and lack of major characters due to licensing really turned me away. Not quite sure what you mean here. FTC's 8" figures were coming out, usually four at a time, and the only major characters denied to them would be Commissioner Gordon and Aunt Harr...

Re: Batmania revival Down Under, 1987

I accidentally found the pics of the 1987 event this week! https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1866/43616370865_d9fa9383c0.jpg Batman night at Hoyts by Ian McLean , on Flickr The organiser, Fox/Columbia's Dale, turned up in a rental Batman outfit (hence the incorrect chest insignia). I read a piece where someone got their sister to handpaint the design on fabric to create him some Bat Baggies.

When this popped back up again today I thought it was a new announcement. Australia is now heading into "this summer"... Only yesterday, I ordered some spare ReAction parts I need to create a Penguin custom. (My Riddler and Joker were getting lonely.) https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1867/29...

Re: Mego line heading to Target stores

Thanks for the heads-up. I already have the Diamond retro-Mego green Gorn and this is the same sculpt. Only recently I hunted up the original Mego Gorn, who is, of course, a brown version of Marvel's "The Lizard" in a Klingon uniform. One of Mego's more... bizarre efforts.

Re: Batman at the Boxoffice

In the late 80s, Sydney had a tour of the TV Batmobile and a midnight revival of the movie - and my friends and I were asked to perform a "Rocky Horror Picture Show"-esque performance in costume, in return for free tickets and some cinemas passes (to other movies). https://c1.staticflickr...

Australia is deep in a "Coles' Little Shop" fervour. $30 worth of groceries earns a blind-packed toy, one of 30 to collect. Swap meets are being held outside supermarkets to calm the populace. Egghead is celebrating finally locating his carton of free-range eggs! https://farm2.staticflickr...

... and the Mattel Penguin to the TV display. I went hunting for an extra 6” #Mattel Robin figure on eBay (my other one is the wall-walking Robin with wires in his cape) - and found a great bargain that happened to come in a pair with a loose Riddler. Since I already had a Frank Gorshin Riddler on ...

Re: BATMAN ’66 Exhibit Revamped — and Extended Again

I wonder what the odds are of it getting extended any further. If it gets into March, I might have a chance to go. On Wally's Facebook page, he discussed the new King Tut dressed statue (with a face created by the Victor Buono life cast found in the "Planet of the Apes" display) is one of...

Last year's Hallmark Batcopter ornament has tiny Batman and Robin figures, probably too small?

Seated generic figures in various scales can be found in hobby model railways shops. Paint up your own?
