Re: A.I. Batman 66

It blows my mind how many of the AI "Adams" (both in this thread and elsewhere online) were not so subtly trained on images of board member Bob DeSimone. Case in point: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1mZefgWSYHk/UdBu28Ggd7I/AAAAAAAAcFQ/UFnP_-VbXZw/s640/Bob-Mezco-Batman-Figures-1966-Batmobile-10...

Re: What do you think?

Very cool take on the character! Really intrigued by the idea of the extended forehead on the mask.

Re: 1/6 Joker, 1966 , 4 options By Mars Toys

By the way, it seems all the Joker/Prankster variants have shipped. Also, the Mars Toys FB thread has a post by Kit Chen with a picture of their Batman costume and “next week” as the tag line, so perhaps they will release one too. No other info at this time IMG_3040.jpeg Verrrry interesting... So f...

Re: Autographed Joan Collins book now 40% off

Thanks for sharing Jim, like you said very affordable way to get an autograph from a not so readily accessible cast member from the show. Also, it would be remiss to not say that seeing this thread title fired a real pang of sadness for me. We miss you, High C.

Yep, that's the set!

Re: 1966 Batman Salem plate uses flipped artwork from the TV series animated opening.

That's a neat find! Every now and again, I think about picking up the 2006 DC Direct statues that were released based on the animated opening. In a world pre-official licensing for the series/Adam and Burt's likenesses, it was a workaround of sorts to bring something tied into the show to the collec...

Re: Factory Entertainment Black Friday sale

Thanks for the heads-up, Lou. I've always liked their Cave in principle, but the price vs space vs weight etc has always made it a pass for me. The most impressive savings seem to be on the GH stuff. I'm going to start a thread in that section to draw attention to it. ( http://www.66batman.com/forum...

Impressive Black Friday GH savings at Factory Ent

Lou had shared the Black Friday deals that Factory Entertainment have announced today over in the Bat-Merchandise section, but when I scrolled through and saw the impressive discounts on the TV Hornet items specifically, I decided to share this on our GH board for those Hornet fans who maybe don't n...

It is interesting that there is such a delay between GameStop showing availability online (as in I order the figures now) or wait another two months to be able to walk into their store and purchase off the peg.

Re: Is this an authentic 1966 Batman figure from Argentina?

I've never seen this, but I like it! I'm not a big true "vintage" '66 toy fan, but this has way more of a likeness and general "look and feel" of the show than the majority of the stuff released in the US/Europe during the 60's into the 70's. Again, i'm no expert, but I totally c...

Wow Fabian, what a great looking collection! Really nicely organized and displayed. I'm a sucker for specific props and make no secret of being a total fan of what Randy does. Kudos on learning the ropes of 3D printing, one of the things i'm definitely fascinated by but have zero instincts towards t...

Re: Bat-Director Robert Butler has died

Saddened to wake up to this news this morning. IMHO, the Lorenzo Semple and Robert Butler were the archetects of the lightning in a bottle that was the ‘66 Batman TV show and subsequently made it the cultural phenomenon that has loomed large for nearly six decades since. Bob Butler was a trusted “Pi...
