Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

There were almost George Reeve toys in the 1950s like a lunch box and a Marx playset but someone did not want the royalties to go to the actor.

Re: The Dark Knight Returns Fan Film

Not bad. If they made this with an A list actor like George Clooney as Batman and trained actors, it would probably be better than the regular movies.

Too bad they're not auctioning the screen used Green Hornet hat so we can analyze what the actual color was.

Re: Hot Toys to make Keaton 1966 Batman style costume

The decline of superhero movies and superhero fatigue is really more about CORPORATE superhero movies. What they need to make is independent superhero movies. Corporate superhero movies play it safe. Just like in comics how the independent ones say from Alan Moore are much more interesting. They don...

Re: Cott Batman soda can sold in Chicago in 1966?

I was told by someone who tried it that Cott Batman soda tasted like RC cola with a dash of pepper.

Also the Sam's choice soda sold in Walmart is made by Cott.

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

Eh. I do not need yet another solo Lee-based Kato figure. If I had a wish list, it would have a 1/6 scale TV GH and K with alternate, unmasked heads at the top, but I seriously doubt that's going to happen. Anything else, especially products living off of the memory of Lee specifically tied to the ...

Re: Cott Batman soda can sold in Chicago in 1966?

I was incorrect that Cott bought RC in 1970. They bought RC in 2001. So Batman cola probably did taste like RC because they were trying to copy more famous brands.

This article is interesting how Cott worked:

Did you drink the regular cola in the 1960s because I think Cott in the 1970s bought RC cola.

Re: Cott Batman soda can sold in Chicago in 1966?

Great find. That can is in amazing shape. I grew up in New England and remember those supermarket displays and Batman cola in large-size (quart?) bottles. I always thought of Cott as a local brand, so I'm surprised to see how extensive its distribution was. These days I gather their main business i...

Cott Batman soda can sold in Chicago in 1966?

After 4 years searching I found a 1966 Cott Batman soda can. I've always liked the design of it. Was this Batman soda can ever sold in Chicago in 1966? Did it have a limited run of one year? I'm pretty sure my parents or one of my relatives would have bought me the Batman soda can for my birthday pa...

Here's a good look at "66 Superman" at the Entertainment Earth site. He looks vaguely familiar, not sure who (Clint Walker, maybe?) but certainly not George Reeves. It's not a bad looking figure but it doesn't say "Superman" to me, and the "S" shield is the 70s version...
