Re: Are some Green Hornet Episodes in the PD?
I didn't really think they were, but they only showed The Silent Gun, Crime Wave, Deadline for Death, The Secret of the Sally Bell, Freeway to Death, May the Best Man Lose, Seek, Stalk, and Destroy, Corpse of the Year Parts 1 & 2, Bad Bet on a 459-Silent, Ace in the Hole, Trouble for Prince Char...

Re: Question about the Entrancing Dr. Cassandra
I also wonder: was the final battle always going to be a fight in darkness because they planned to save money, or was a real visual fight conceived but it was scrapped for the cheaper "fight in darkness" battle? In any case, I liked it... it's far from the worst episode... and the worst ep...

Re: Question about the Entrancing Dr. Cassandra
Maybe she is supposed to be "fascinating" due to her groovy employment of astrology, alchemy and magic?

Are some Green Hornet Episodes in the PD?
The reason I ask is that a digital broadcast channel in GA (I think it's called the Family Channel) shows Green Hornet on Friday nights, but they seem to only have about 40% of the shows... which made me wonder if they were showing them as public domain episodes... or if they are just hoarding the o...

The Bat Theme Mystery
I'm curious about the music for the series. Why did Neal Hefti do the theme and not the series music? For that matter, why did Nelson Riddle not do the theme? The only thing I've come up with so far is that perhaps Hefti was mostly a hit music maker who the studio thought would be good for the theme...

Re: Which era of Batman the series adapted?
Here's my thought: I think the biggest influence on the Batman TV series were the 40's era Batman live-action cliffhanger serials, which had recently been shown to much hubub in cities. I think that is where the cliffhanger aspect came from, and I think the current comics influenced the look along w...

Re: Question about the Entrancing Dr. Cassandra
Thanks - very interesting! I wasn't aware it was filmed so early either, and episodes filmed after it showed up before it in the production schedule.

My bet would be that a buyer would keep it as the Batmobile!

Question about the Entrancing Dr. Cassandra
Hi - I'm Killer Moth, and I'm new here so hopefully I'm posting this right. My question is about the oddest thing at the end of the Dr. Cassandra episode... it's literally "The End" applied as a visual at the end of the episode as Minerva is on the screen. Was this signaling the fact that ...
