Re: Fabrics for the Hot Toys Robin cape
Is that what was referred to as silk charmeuse? Thinner material than regular satin, but thus better for a miniature - I got some at Michael Levine in downtown L.A. when I was working on Aztec dance costumes; might be cheaper there?

Re: Info on BATSLEEP cans
Well, what do you know... safe imitation Bat-Sleep!The stuff even shows up well on camera when you spray it, from the company's video. A bit bigger than the show item, but you did a very good transformation. (Best match for the real font used would be Akzidenz Grotesk Condensed, if you can get it.) ...

Re: Are these Batman '66 related?
Monitor, have you seen the Batman and Robin performers from the Billy Smart Circus in England? No info has turned up about their act, but they appear as extras in the 1967 movie Berserk during a parade scene:

January 1966 would be a bit early for a wrap party... hmm. Wonder what that date might signify.

Maybe back when this was aired the fees for use of this song weren't that high?
Now about that eagle costume...
(Actually, having once made my own eagle costume - long story - I can appreciate all the effort that went into that featherwork!)

Re: Knockout Smoke and Effects
I've always wanted to know how some of those effects worked (or sometimes didn't, like when Bruce gets gassed at the museum in "The Curse of Tut" - the sound effect is there but nothing sprays out of the henchman's canister!). The Penguin's umbrella seems to be troublesome as well - very o...

Thanks so much for the link! It finally answered my question about the spray cans A and B - it was scripted that way after all.

Might have been fun to see Connie Francis as the Siren - despite her good-girl image, I'll bet she could have been "bad" as well.

Re: Aunt Harriet away from Wayne Manor
Just found another Bat-connection: Madge guest-starred on two episodes of December Bride, which starred Spring Byington (aka J. Pauline Spaghetti):
"Family Quarrel" (airdate Dec. 5, 1955)
"The Homecoming Show" (airdate Jan. 21, 1957)
Not on YouTube at the moment, unfortunately.
