Re: RIP Francine York
Here's a link that has a few nice photos. She was great on Lost in Space as well. Very friendly and very sweet in person when we met her at one of the Hollywood shows. :( https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/01/07/silver-age-actress-francine-york-batman-lost-space-perry-mason-dies-80/?utm_source=feedbu...

Halloween 2016
Here's the wife and I this just past Halloween. I'll try to add more when I get the okay from some others in Batcostumes. PS: The wife kept saying, "I'm not going to be Julie Newmar." To which I replied, "No, you're going to be Lee Meriwether "

First Rock Band on a TV Sitcom? Maybe not...
In Joel Eisner's book, he states that Paul Revere and the Raiders on "Hizzoner the Penguin" (11/66) was the first appearance of a rock band on a TV sitcom. This has always bothered me. Later guests Chad and Jeremy had already appeared on "Dick Van Dyke" as "The Redcoats&quo...

Buck Kartalian has passed
Buck Kartalian, Catwoman henchman from season 2's Hot Off the Griddle has passed. He was 93, and probably best know as Julius in the original Planet of the Apes and the wolfman on Saturday morning's Monster Squad.

Re: The top Bat-records of 1966!
Batman_Dan_Dale.jpg For reasons lost 50 years ago...this is the '45 version of the theme I had as a kid. It's got more of an R & B edge, and the B-side is especially funky. It has a minor cult following as members of Sun Ra and his Arkestra and The Blues Project are among the musicians who play...

I picked this one up at the fantastic Joe's Record Paradise in Silver Spring Maryland a while back. Haven't put it on the turntable yet, but... We old guys remember Marty Allen for his '60s & '70's game show guest appearances.

Re: Is MeTV gonna celebrate the 50th anniversary?
I don't think they are doing the remasters, as they are with Star Trek. There are also edits and "speed-ups" to fit all their commercials and promos in. You mostly notice the sped-ups when the music is playing, especially on the credits. On last week, the third season Shame, I am pretty su...
