That's really intriguing. Nice piece to dig up. What's it from, btw?

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #203: “Has TV gone batty?” Snarky press coverage from 1966

Fun listen, guys. Pretty wild how many reporters/ journalists were quite dismissive of fun entertainment around that decade and the previous. I always thought the host of Telescope, Fletcher Markle that interviewed William Dozier was a bit of a pompous, blowhard snob that looked down his nose at the...

Re: Looking for the earliest siting of the Gila cowl

I always thought that the Legends of The Superheroes production staff were the ones that re-covered the cowl and provided the updated pieces for Adam and Burt. Can't recall where I got that info tho. Wally told the tale about the "Gila" cowl after meeting the lady who did the recovering. ...

Re: Hey! Does Getty images have a release from those in this photo?

Quick answer: Yes. It was in a public place so they have full authority to license this as their work of photography without needing a release from us. it also being a public event makes it even more so. They can't make T-shirts of the licensed characters as that falls into other rights issues. On a...

Re: Was the "Joker's Wild" prison escape from the comics?

Going back to listen to the 134th episode of TO THE BATPOLES, our discussion of the early scripts for THE JOKER'S WILD, I'm reminded the Robert Dozier had originally written this scene with a THE ZODIAC CRIMES-style helicopter with a rope ladder as Joker's method of escape. Paul and I guessed it wa...

Re: Do we know all the BATMAN shooting dates?

Saddly, the short answer is no. But, Ben and I have been trying to compile as much as we can as we sort through the pieces of papers, production notes and stuff. Hopefully, we can get a comprehensive and fairly complete list together in the future. On the subject of shooting dates, we did share this...
