By far my favorite of the covers available for the issue.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES: BAT-ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good luck with everything that is going in.

Plus, you never should have watched the two Legends of the Super Heroes shows back-to-back. I knew it would kill your enthusiasm for the podcast.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #128: Roast Godzilla

Considering what a turkey of a show the roast was, I'm sure there is a roast turkey joke somewhere, but I can't think of one....at least that wouldn't be as bad as some of the jokes in the show. Even though I suffered through the first show, I tuned in for more punishment by watching the roast. Some...

Re: New Batman Cover statue Sideshow

Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes these look better in hand or after they've been released. I don't think I'll pre-order, but I'll still check out an unboxing video to see it it is something I would want. I love that cover and that Batman logo.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #127: It’s a “Challenge” Just to Sit Through “Legends”

gothosmansion: I've read a few of the Wein/Wrightson Swampi stories and own reprints of the Englehart/Rogers DETECTIVE run (the highlights, anyway), but we are moving into post-'66 BATMAN/DETECTIVE as a podcast topic right now, so I'll finally crack those reprints open! I know, I know, we're just a...

Re: Ralph Garman's Batman Collection on MeTV

Thanks for the heads-up. I encourage everyone to go by metv.com after the show airs. They usually have a couple of scenes on the site that were cut from the show for time. I know we'll all want to see more of Ralph's collection. I was blown away by what we saw on the TV show blu-rays.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #127: It’s a “Challenge” Just to Sit Through “Legends”

Haven't been able to get on in a while. Most people have already covered what I thought. I remember being highly disappointed with the show when it originally aired. The laugh track bothered me. I didn't like that my comic book heroes were being mocked. Now, I'd be ok with it if the show was funny, ...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

Not sure why he's in combat mode in the Batcave, but I'm getting an awesome Neal Adams vibe off that second one. Are they pricey? It doesn't specifically say Adams on the packaging, but it has one of his drawings on the inside flap, although it from Odyssey and not the Bronze Age. It was a Gamestop...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

I looked for that shirt at my Gameshop and couldn't find one. Still, good pick-up, Keith.

I've only been in Gamestop a couple of times. I didn't realize they sold toys. I did pick up these two Batman statues while I was there.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #126 Season Three Wrapup: The Problem with Batgirl

I'm going to go with Andy, somewhat...while I wish Batgirl had been a little more heroic, I still enjoy her. Partly, because of my childhood crush on the character and in large part because of Yvonne Craig's performance. Craig does bring a confidence and a feistiness to the role that makes her fun t...

Re: 1970s Batman - Missed Opportunity

I hadn't really thought of Lupus for a 70s Batman, but he does seem to fit the part. For me, I think I always went with the consensus that Clint Eastwood would have been an awesome Batman in the 1970s.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #125 Minerva: Holy self-parody!

Thanks again for the show, guys. Maybe Dozier was so gung-ho to cast Zsa Zsa because he forgot to play "Know Your Gabor" and confused Zsa Zsa with her look-a-like but much more talented sister, Eva. If you're confused on your Gabor, Eva was the regular on Green Acres, one of my favorite se...

Re: Superman: The Movie Anniversary This Sunday 12/15/19

I live in a small town, so it was probably a few months later when our theatre got the movie. I was only 7 at the time, so I didn't really appreciate the subtly of Christopher Reeve's performance. Still, the movie was an amazing thing to see...such a thrill that it lived up to expectations. My poor ...
