Re: Batman '66 Cosplay in City Park

The pictures look great! I think wearing a costume in public when you're not at a convention or a special event with like-minded people comes with a certain amount of risk. You're just out there doing your thing, but someone will inevitably make snide comments. Of course, if you rolled up in a $250,...

Re: Million dollar Debut of Batgirl outfit

I remember an interview with Lee Meriwether where she said the fabric had metallic thread in it that would get really hot when exposed to the sun. GVM designs did a reproduction for the Hollywood Museum, so if anyone knows how to contact him maybe he could provide some assistance. https://scontent-l...

Maybe the variant could cast some Dark Shadows.

Re: Million dollar Debut of Batgirl outfit

The Batgirl costume you're describing is available from cosplay vendors, but the quality may not be great. I'd suggest checking Etsy for a black long sleeve catsuit such as https://www.etsy.com/listing/699825954/black-mystique-metallic-turtle-neck-long?ref=share_v4_lx If you Google Batgirl costume y...

Re: Hornet Mask

I have a couple of leather GH masks that I made as first attempts. Not perfect, but if you'd like one as a prototype I'd be happy to send you one. Just DM me your address.

Re: Hornet Mask

I think it was posted in one of the discussion threads here. From what I remember they made life casts of Van and Bruce Lee, then made the masks out of fiberglass.

Re: Kato figures from Diamond Select Toys

I'm excited that we're seeing new stuff, but so far the Green Hornet himself is missing from any of the new releases in favor of yet another Bruce Lee cash in. I get that Lee is ultimately why the show is remembered beyond it's dedicated fan-base but... Yes, totally agree. There should be a GH figu...

Kato figures from Diamond Select Toys

For anyone interested, Diamond Select has two new Kato figures available for pre-order. There is a diorama and posable figure that join the Kato bust. Nice to see new Green Hornet merch, particularly since Enterbay Kato is so pricey.

Re: My Batman '66 Cosplay is Complete!

Nice job on the videos! I went through some of the same issues when I put my suit together, but I eventually I bought my gloves from Gaspar and boots from Duran. I made my own belt with a WS2 buckle, but I also bought a CY Productions version. The boot covers you purchased from Etsy seem a good choi...

Batman and Robin are listed on this site for $185: https://www.comicsanctorum.com/product/saturn-toys-dynamic-duo-double-16-scale-figure-set/ This doesn't include shipping, but that's a $60 difference. Maybe too good to be true? The price is for a two-pack? Any off-site customer reviews for the com...

Thanks for sharing. I admire your ability to set and reach specific goals, and your experiences make your dedication that much more meaningful. Paraphrasing your blog post, change "I wish" to "I will".

Re: Green Hornet-ish Coat For Sale

Thanks for the advice. Walking is always a good option. I started a walking regimen and was walking about 4 - 5 miles per day consistently but then I got COVID and fell off the wagon. We have a dog now and I walk her a couple times a day, but not as far or fast as I need to lose weight. Getting old ...

Re: Green Hornet-ish Coat For Sale

Adding a piece of black velvet to the collar is certainly possible, but it wouldn't change the overall look, and might actually detract from the coat if it doesn't lay correctly. Based on my search for a suitable GH coat, this one is the closest I've seen to the "real thing", and I have se...
