I think they were the same shade but not an exact match. The hat and overcoat were obviously different materials/fabric so they take the dye differently. The mask is obviously painted which they try to match to the overcoat/hat. I think it's as you said, "the same shade" but for the stamps...

Tod Grimes made a very nice 1/6th Britt Reid head sculpt about ten years ago. I believe he only made a few and no more. Shame.

thanks, the mask is from Argentina but i had to modify the sides using cardboard, spackle and epoxy. I made the sting out of pvc pipe and wood dowls and sprinkler parts.

Exactly, there was no message board when I started out and precious few photos. However I wouldn't trade that for anything, the detective work is fun but at times frustrating.
