Re: Happy belated birthday Eileen O'Neill!

Just like to say a big belated Happy Birthday to the still gorgeous eileen o'neill aka the Clock King's criminal partner Millie-Second! She was born on the 3rd of July 1939! You can probaly guess due to my name she is my favorite bat-babe of the series. My favorite also! Although I love several oth...

Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

Nolan himself is a big fan of the TV show. I've never seen him quoted as saying that. I'd like to see some evidence of that. Nolan: Like a lot of people my age, my first introduction of Batman was the television series with Adam West. When you're watching as a five-year-old, you really have no conc...

Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

Affeck as Batman is really a hurdle for me. My least favorite actor playing my favorite fictional character? I'm just not watching it. I am really hoping it tanks 'Superman Returns' style, leaving an opening for a different actor to resurrect the character. http://static.squarespace.com/static/51b3d...

Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

Are you saying Nolan's Batman was the hero Gotham deserved, but not the one it needed? :) I dunno, in the first Burton film Batman leveled Gotham City trying, and failing, to catch one villain. Which really kind of rankled me. Nolan's Batman, in the second & especially third film was the most in...

Re: Chris O'Donnell was a huge fan of the '66 Batman show.

The show is getting plugged constantly, lately. And when the series is released, it will be 10 times bigger! Speaking of O'Donnell, funny, as a kid I used to think when Adam West got too old to play Batman, of course Burt Ward would take over! A 'Batman 2' Dick Grayson, I mean. I could not imagine a...

Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

It's nice how the new breed of fans are WAY more inclusive of the series. Truthfully, I never EVER expected to see it. Kevin Smith did a very nice podcast with Adam. I this piece explains how comics fans felt about the show back then: http://13thdimension.com/gotham-tribune-kevin-smith-on-disowning-...

Everyone quit fibbing! You know you'll watch the pilot, check the episode for the Leslie Gore songs, then your favorite episodes first!

Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

I'm sorry about your daughter. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the movies together and I agree, Keaton did a really great job as Batman, it was a very unique performance and it woul've been interesting to see him act alongside Chris O'Donnell, whom I think did a really good job as Robin as well. I'...

Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

Though the movies are flawed, the expressionistic stylings of Tim Burton's Batman pictures are lost on the contemporary audience, who don't understand the complex ability to appreciate a film on more than one level. Our pretentious youth confuse the adolescent insistance on "reality" as b...

Re: Is the Tim Burton Batman on it's Way to Being Forgotten

Yes, happily. Not only has the 60's Batman eclipsed it, but even 'Batman The Animated Series' is 10 times more popular & well regarded than the Burton Batman. Which is indeed poetic justice. :) After the '89 film came out huge, that version became THE live-action Batman, taking over for the old ...

Re: Aunt Harriet away from Wayne Manor

I read that she was offered the part of Aunt Bea on Andy Griffith -- she was the go to gal for that sort of part in the early to mid 60's. But she was too busy, so she recommended her friend Frances Bavier. And the rest is history! If she had done Andy Griffith, maybe Aunt Bea would've done Aunt Har...

Catwoman on TMZ

I happened on this because I wanted to see what the "scary kid" from A Christmas Story looked like now. :) They said she's looking heavenly. I agree!

Re: Adam West on The Rifleman and The Big Valley

That was probably the best non-Batman TV appearances he ever did. He was great in that. You could tell he'd been to the beach a lot, his hair was practically blonde, and looked great. Holy Robert Redford!

No matter what, I'm keeping my various sets of bootlegs. Right in my Bellagio-Italia Binder. They don't take up that much space!
