Re: If "1966" was ever released on DVD.....
I suppose they could do that, especially considering that a S3 release might not be a big seller, given the grade school production values and horrible scripts that abound during that final year.

Well, you've already had Tommy Lee Jones play Two-Face in the 1995(?) movie.BatBrain wrote:I've also thought more about this. Does anybody else think it would be cool to feature False Face in a new Batman motion-picture series whenever it is rebooted?

Re: Remembering Burgess Meredith
As a kid, I thought he was fabulous, though I confess I was more a Joker man. Penguin showed up too often, I thought at the time, and Gorshin's Riddler I just didn't "get" until I was older (now he's probably my favorite). Back in the ninties when the channel FX was like Nick at Night, on...

Yet they did show his name in the end credits of the second part:redbird wrote: The actor returning to the role I highly doubt...and the question mark in the credits was because he didn't care for the way the audience couldn't see his features....so why show his name!

Re: False Face - Should He Have Appeared More?
Malachi Throne was very much in demand as a character actor during the Batman era. From 1966-68, he was in 20 shows after playing False Face. In the last show, he was Robert Wagner's co-star on "It Takes a Thief." Also given his melifluous voice, he may have done commercials as well. In s...

Re: False Face - Should He Have Appeared More?
Of course, the Big Four appeared MUCH MORE extensively: Riddler: 6 appearances Penguin: 10 appearances Joker: 10 appearances Catwoman: 8 appearances One or two appearances in S2 probably wouldn't have sent the character into the nosedive the others endured. Malachi Throne was very much in demand as ...

Re: The Penguin Goes Straight question
My take on it was it was set up by the Penguin in advance. I believe the TV show starts after Penguin puts his plan into action in order to to confound the viewers as much as the startled theatergoers. That seemed to be a familiar theme with the Penguin stories: in the election episode opening, he ...
