Re: Where are they now?--Gail Hire
Gail HIre earned a permanent place in my heart with her performance in Howard Hawks's RED LINE 7000. It's generally regarded as his worst film, but I love every minute of it.

Season Two One-Shot Most Worthy of Another Episode
Here is the poll for the second season. I enjoyed reading your comments in the previous thread and am really looking forward to seeing what you have to say about this group of one-shots.

Re: Season One One-Shot Most Worthy of Another Episode
Thank all of you who voted and commented! It was a tight race for a while, but the season one winner is THE BOOKWORM!

Season One One-Shot Most Worthy of Another Episode
I thought it might be fun to run a poll for each season, asking which one-shot villain you would have most liked to see again. Each poll will run for a week, and then I'll create a fourth poll featuring each season's winner.

Re: Riddle Me This # 3
Solution: A cradle. When a cradle is still, it "causes" a noise because it fails to keep a baby from crying. When a cradle moves, it "causes" no noise because the baby is content and stops crying. Better luck next time, Dynamic Dimwits! Unless the cradle is empty, at which point...

Re: Riddle Me This # 3
1. U, as in ewe, a female sheep. 2. Traffic. When it stands still, drivers blow their horns. The only possible meaning: both clues, taken together, point to the nursery rhyme, "Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn. The sheep's in the meadow; the cow's in the corn." Clearly, the Riddler pla...

Re: Easter Episode
Well, Egghead would have been the perfect villain for an Easter-themed episode in which he holds all of Gotham City's eggs (even chocolate eggs and jelly beans!) for ransom, potentially ruining the holiday festivities -- egg roll on the mayor's lawn, Easter egg hunts, dyeing eggs, etc. The death tra...

Re: RIP Malachi Throne, aka False Face
How very sad. He had a long and distinguished career, but his truly terrifying performance as False Face is, for me, a standout and places him among the best of the Bat-Villains.
My condolences to his family and friends.

Re: Why didn't Julie appear in season 3?
Perhaps Julie was "on call" in case of the need to do re-shoots and post-production work for Mackenna's Gold and, therefore, not available for other jobs? Interesting to note that in the Dr. Cassandra episode, the Catwoman released from Gotham State Penitentiary was modeled on Julie Newmar...

Pussycat, played by Lesley Gore. She could lead a band of rogue musicians and perform a new song in every episode.

Re: From Henchwoman to Bat-Villainess?
Fun topic! Another vote for Blaze, who came close to being an "Extra Special Guest Villainess" in the False Face episodes. I can also imagine Legs Parker, fed up with her Ma and inept brothers, branching out on her own. In addition, I submit Moth from "The Ring of Wax/Give 'Em the Ax....

Re: If not Astin, then who?
Roddy McDowall might have been an interesting choice, had he not already played a Bat-villain (although Anne Baxter played two).

Re: Happy Birthday Cleo Patrick!!
Marianna Hill appeared in the 1965 Howard Hawks film, RED LINE 7000, with another Bat-villain moll -- Gail "Miss Bacon" Hire. Although Hawks is a revered director, RL7000 is widely considered to be his weakest film. (It's a personal favorite of mine.) Adding to the Bat-connections, Teri Ga...

Re: Did Any of the Villains Scare You?
That shot of False Face reflected in the vending machine terrified me when I first saw it. It still gives me chills all these years later. The red wig and his heel-clicking also creeped me out, as did the idea that anyone could be False Face in disguise, so you could never feel safe. The other reall...
