Re: Batman Photo of Me from 1980
That's cool! I used to have one of the Ben Cooper (?) costumes (the one that said BATMAN across the chest insignia) and my brother and I would stage Bat-fights on the front lawn. This was in the early 1970s I think. Those were the days...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You Acquired?
Cool! I remember going from grocery store to grocery store in 1989 trying to find a cereal box with one on it. But if the boxes weren't sold out, they were damaged and the bank stolen. I finally got one on Ebay a few years ago.Chuck Williams wrote:I worked on that Keaton bank sculpture back in the day...

Re: Batman & The Addams Family
Has anyone else ever noticed the link between Batman and The Addams Family? Both stars of Addams family played Bat-Villains (John Astin & Carolyn Jones) and Ted Cassidy makes a window cameo. I can't think and any other TV show that got as many plugs, even though The Addams Family was off the ai...

I'd have to say the Riddler, especially when he had B&R tied to the rotating wheels and whispered good-bye to each of them. Plus, his laugh was by the far the most menacing and creepy.

Re: No excuses
Sometimes the excuses dealt with things in the study, but more often than not they didn't. Fishing, rambling in the woods, a new exhibit somewhere. I also always thought it was funny that Alfred had to come up and whisper "It's the Bat-Phone, suh." I always wondered why he didn't have some...

From Reminisce magazine. Pretty interesting. I hope it can be restored.

Adam West on PBS, January 29
In yesterday's Parade magazine (available in Sunday newspapers in the US but I'm not sure how many or which ones), there was a small article about Adam West in which he discusses how he felt about other actors portraying Batman. "There's sort of a proprietary feeling at first, but I quickly rea...

Re: How did the Bat-Poles/Automatic Bat-Costume Changer work
As a kid, I never put much thought into it... I always assumed there was some Bat device that instantly clothed them as they slid down. I read in the Official Batman Batbook that Alan Napier, who played Alfred, thought of a gag where he was cleaning the Batpoles and slipped and slid down into the Ba...

Re: Scenes or Death Traps You Would've Liked to See on Batma
There was a scene in one of the comic books (it was also shown on the cover) where the Joker actually unmasked Batman, but there was a bright light - I believe it was from a lighthouse - shining in Joker's eyes at the time so he couldn't see who Batman really was. But he didn't let on. Couldn't you ...

I picked up a Hot Wheels 1/18 1989 Batmobile the other day. I had no idea they were even making them.

I love the commentaries! The replacing of Madge Blake with Reta Shaw reminds me of My Three Sons bringing William Frawley onboard when William Demerest passed away.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You Acquired?
Nice figure. I saw it at the local Toys R Us, was impressed that the Bat ears were short and wondered for a nano-second if I should buy it and try to customize it 66 style. Then I said to myself, "Self, wait a little longer and you'll have your choice of those...including one to hang on the Ch...

I just received an order of Batman checks from Checks Unlimited. They rotate 4 different designs. Here's what it looked like as I was setting it up. The line at the right is one where you can write whatever you'd like - how do you like my choice? :D http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k582/jeff98177...

Re: Who would you pick to play Poison Ivy?
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Barbara Eden. On "I Dream Of Jeannie" her character was sweet and a bit naive, but she also played Jeannie's sister, "Jeannie II"... and THAT character had a definite mean streak. Here's a YouTube clip showing Barbara as both Jeannie and Jeannie...
