Re: Repaired and upgraded WhizzBang Shakespeare Bust
Thanks Jim and yes there is. The knotted cords are at the bottom directly inside the bust from where both cords exit. Lay the bust down on a thick pad of towels and I used a single edged razor blade to carefully separate the thin, black "fun foam" from the bottom of the base then you will ...

Re: Repaired and upgraded WhizzBang Shakespeare Bust
Thanks everyone. Chuck, I'm not sure what type of resin these are made of but they seem to be rotocast using two different resins. If you look at the broken pieces you can see a white outer "detail" layer and then a darker support layer. All of the ones that I have repaired had some pretty...

Repaired and upgraded WhizzBang Shakespeare Bust
I just thought I would share the latest repaired and upgraded WhizzBang Shakespeare bust that is almost complete for a client. It was originally sent just for a light and switch replacement but FedEx told us otherwise! You'll see pictures of the bust head as it arrived with the FedEX fragile handlin...

Re: Knob and dial to upgrade your Shakespeare bust
Chris,
Thanks, I knew that about lens fitting but this is as close as I can get and since the whizz-bang bust isn't exact, I'm not going to split hairs ... for now.

Re: Knob and dial to upgrade your Shakespeare bust
Greatlakes6, I was in no way trying to talk you out of this, you definitely want this knob and plate. It's spot on. You can easily use the pieces (if it breaks) to make a template on thick styrene that you can get at most hobby store and replace the neck piece. I've done it a lot and if I can do it,...

Re: Knob and dial to upgrade your Shakespeare bust
Unfortunately, you will have to replace the "whizzbang" bust switch as it doesn't have a stem which the new "chicken head" knob needs to work. There is a lot of work involved. The whole neckpiece has to come out to get access to the wiring and switch. The original switch looks so...

I don't understand why they can't/don't show artist sketches or digital renderings instead of slapping concepts stolen off the net.

Thick based Batphone for molding - SOLD!
I created this many years ago and just dug it out of the garage. My intent was to make a mold and offer kits for sale but I didn't and don't want to pursue it. I started with a basic phone and added a styrofoam "plug" to the bottom to thicken it up. I then puttied over the styrofoam and sa...

Re: Shakespeare's head dial plate....blu-ray
Alfred, you've done it again. I was real close with your help many years ago when I created my artwork for the dial plate. Now I can make a few tweaks and get accurate metal ones made! Thank you so much. I also have noticed that the light on the bust has changed as well. Your LIS picture has the same...

Re: Black Leather The Bat Cowl! What might have been!
Chuck and Lynn, I'm not sure what to write anymore when I see one of your new creations. I expect to see top quality, great research and meticulous attention to detail when it comes to replicating a costume piece but this is something different, something unique. This is your creation based off of t...
