Seriously cool! Unfortunately it faded after one wash. If I were to get another, I'd go ...

Re: The Batman Serials, Hugh Hefner and the TV Show Connection
I like both serials. They're both fun to watch. I just did a quick Google search for this Johnny Duncan interview, http://www.grouchoreviews.com/interviews/63 and in finding it, am saddened to hear he just died. We were sort of pen pals via email a while back. He was very nice. I would've liked to a...

Re: The Batman Serials, Hugh Hefner and the TV Show Connection
Interesting info. ,Andy. Thanks! Yes, '43 was more serious. I forgot about the electrified tire iron, radioactive money, and the kinda humorous line from Bruce Wayne, " ..Jimmy must have put on the batman costume, got into a fight, and fell to his death. ...oh well, nothing we can do for him no...

Re: The Batman Serials, Hugh Hefner and the TV Show Connection
Oh yeah, I must acknowledge the wall of knives Dr. Daka used in Batman '43 obviously influenced "The Purrrfect Crime" episodes. That cool Batman logo at the beginning of each episode of Batman 1943 looks familiar every time I watch the TV show! Of course, it was used in the comics, as well...

Re: The Batman Serials, Hugh Hefner and the TV Show Connection
I am a fan of the 1949 serial and thought I'd throw out some observations. Even though "An Evening with Batman and Robin" (1943) was shown right before the TV show, I noted a bunch of influences on the TV show from the '49 serial. I consider the '49 serial to be kind of a pilot for the TV ...

Re: The Tale of 2 Bat Radios
Hey Frenchy, Check out both the old board and new board for info on the Radios, Or just look on the net as there are people who make them for sale......I just won't say who. Good Luck! Of course! I should've known I'm not the first one to come up with the idea. That thing would be a perfect candida...

Re: The Tale of 2 Bat Radios
You guys just inspired me! It would be really fun to make one of those! Maybe carved out of balsa wood or molded with Sculpey? Done up right, with a good paint job that'd look awesome in my office!

Black Widow vs Mr. Cash - Funniest Scene Ever?
Hello Fellow Batman Fans! What is your funniest moment from the TV show? Mine involves "Mr. Cash" ...wins hands down for me. I am a year behind most all of you guys and am only just now watching every episode in my collectors edition blu Ray set that I got for Christmas. I just finished wa...

Re: Liberace Ratings Myth
I am watching all the episodes on blu ray in order (hey, I'm a year late but better late than never). Man, the Liberace episodes are the only ones (so far) that had me scratching my head and saying to myself, "why am I watching this?" Those episodes were like a bad dress rehearsal for a Jr...

Thanks for the input. I really enjoy it on my commute along with the Marketts album. They're companions as I journey through all 120 episodes on blu ray each evening!

The Sensational Batboys! Batman Theme Album
Greetings Fellow Crimefighters! I am new to the board, so please excuse me it this has been discussed before. I couldn't find any other posts. I was about 4 years old when Batman went off the air. When I was a little older, a neighborhood friend showed me his Corgi Batmobile. I said, "Wow, what...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs
Wow...the Archer episode where Art Carney is throwing money at the crowd...looks really familiar! Man, Tim Burton must've watched every episode before making Batman '89! There seems to be visuals, props, themes, etc. from the series all in his movie.

C'mon! I just watched that episode and it wasn't sexist. Silly, maybe but there was no major put down to women thing going on!

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs
I did not realize how much Christopher Nolan and Tim Burton were influenced by the TV show! I'm not quite finished with season 1 but here is what I noticed so far: 1. The gas coming out of the vents in episode 1 (or 2) with the riddler looks just like the Batman 89 museum scene. 2. There's a mechani...
