Re: Mego line heading to Target stores

Mego never did The Lone Ranger-- that was Gabriel-- and I agree they were great. Slightly bigger than a Mego though. I realize it wasn't part of the same line, but Mego actually did two versions of the Lone Ranger. They were both part of the "Super Softies" line. The first was a 19-inch f...

Re: Tweeterhead season one Wonder Woman!

I like the fact that it seems to have the "removable" skirt. Less than 30 seconds on screen, and it made it to the statue. :-)

I want the to bring back the Mego Lone Ranger! I'd definitely pick one of those up.

I'm sorry it didn't show up as listed. That sucks. I was doing some digging, and could only find the comic packaging.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

Where did you find this set of Underoos? I looked online for them and couldn't find it online. Just ordered these! I guess this particular style of Underoos has been available previously, but this is the 1st I have seen with Adam West's photo and the "Classic TV Batman" logo on the packagi...

Re: Latest Profiles in History Auction Coming

Out of curiosity, does anyone know of someone who might be doing any "pre-sale viewing"? I am interested in the Clayton Moore Lone Ranger shirt (Lot 381) as a fan and non-bidder. To the best of my knowledge, this could be the first screen-used shirt to come up for sale. All of the auctions...

Scott,
I'm one of those people that checks in every few weeks or so. You've created a great place to come and visit, and I enjoy each one. I appreciate all that you do, and have done for us.

Re: What Else Interests You...?

Andy, I'll be sure to post pics. I know that this will be a long project, but I'm really excited about the prospects of it. I've always said that my three "classic" heroes (and I use the term classic very loosely) growing up were Errol Flynn's Robin Hood, Tyrone Power's Zorro, and Clayton ...

Re: Best way to store cowl

I made a simple cowl stand using PVC and some felt. Here's a link for my thread with the build in it. It only cost me a few dollars, and I really like how it turned out.

Re: What Else Interests You...?

Andy, I'm working on a Clayton Moore version. I've been chasing down pieces for quite some time. I really like where it's going. One of the hardest things is finding the right material for the costume. The original was wool gabardine. I found a cotton twill in red that I will use to develop the patt...

Re: What Else Interests You...?

Well, I used to collect film (i.e. 8mm, 16mm, & 35mm), but it took up too much room and I had to part with it. Right now my biggest "interest" outside of family activities has to be The Lone Ranger. I've been a fan of him since I was a kid. I am currently on a quest to put together a T...

Re: 66 interview in costume

I think that the Lone Ranger series set was another missed opportunity for prime extras. They gave me the episode of Lassie where Clayton Moore guest stars as the Lone Ranger, but not the actual treasury savings bond film it features. I would have loved to have seen some of the commercials he also f...
