Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!

Wow, it looks as if they got Adam for the special features and that was it. Didn't Burt mention he recently recorded some things for the DVDs? This wasn't mentioned in the features section. Also, I'm as puzzled as everyone else as lack of extra features. Yes it is a wonderful thing that we official...

Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!

They not only don't charge you until it ships, they automatically lower your purchase price if it drops during the pre-order, which its likely to do. I don't understand the disdain some folks have for Amazon-- I use them all the time, and they are great. The few times I've had to return something i...

Re: Woodrow Roosevelt High School!

Ah, those were the days, when a criminal's most nefarious crime was ruining student morale by luring them with easy money and gimmicked milk machines.

Re: New Julie Newmar Interview

I could never get why people get so gaga over celebrities. However, at a comic book convention several years ago I met and spoke with Julie Newmar. At one point she squeezed my forearm and said I was so sweet. I must confess I was star struck. I couldn't believe Catwoman squeezed my arm. Great memory.

Re: Would you have been a Bat-fan if the series had never ai

I think I can safely say I would not have been that much of a Batman Fan. I loved the series and it has always been my favorite show. It colored everything to come afterwards. I particularly love the campy humor and moralizing which is unique to this show. I would have been a fan of the Filmation ca...

Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!

I originally had VHS tapes that were as good as you could get in the 80's. Then I eventually got hold of the uncut dvd's out there and I thought they were really great when I had an analog tv set. Now that I have a nice HD tv they look horrible on it. It is interesting that inferior quality looks so...

Re: Batman 66 on DVD?

I am recovering from a heart attack I just had. Is it possible? Can it be true? The Holy Grail of DVD releases finally to be released. I have waited impatiently for 3 decades to hear this news. I never thought it would happen. I am dying I am so psyched. Oh the chest pain is back but..got..to.. hold...

Re: 60's vs. 90's films

I'm going to agree with the consensus here that the problem with modern multi-villain films is that they spend too much time trying to "explain" the characters. Partly I think this is due to a basic contradiction inherent to all modern comics-based films: the filmmakers are always eager t...

Re: Any new GH movie talks ??

I love the Green Hornet but the horrible movie was a mockery of the real GH. Special attention to Kato kicking GH between the legs--maybe some people think that's funny but not me. I was hoping for a serious movie, and as someone said, Campy would have been better.

Re: Living In Adam West's Gotham City

In the 1966 Batman Gotham City, I wouldn't mind being anything. Society seems so perfect except for the occasional crime. But even the villains aren't all that bad. If I had to pick, I would say Skip Parker (if that is his name) the hip surfing star- before his powers were removed by The Joker. Conv...
