Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast -- Penguin outwits Penguin, Semple outwits Batman

Citizens, Our hosts once again devote a few minutes to discussion of music. Last week, in the Shame ep, we heard a sample of a Hawaiian sounding STAR TREK theme and this time, as they play the music accenting the Batmobile arriving for the first episode's climactic scene, Riddle's music seems, in pa...

Re: Batman theme covers

Podcasters,

I'd like to refer you to The Piano Guys "Batman Evolution", which begins with Neal Hefti, moves on to Danny Elfman, and concludes with the theme from the Nolan trilogy.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast -- Shame: Blazing Guns and Hot Rods

Citizens and Podcasters, I enjoyed your analysis of this oddball story that begins plumbing the Western genre. I missed many of the references with the exceptions of "Little Old Lady From Passadena" and "The Court Jester" and generally enjoyed this story. BTW: Glynis Johns also a...

Re: Help needed to identify an actress

Twint9, I don't specifically recall where I learned about the scene where the College was reluctant to admit Catwoman. It was probably a thread on this board or The Batgirl Bat Trap website by Twof. Before I learned about the scene, I imagined Catwoman had originally had a female assistant in this s...

Re: Help needed to identify an actress

Citizens, The character of Alma Mater, I understand, was an employee of the college where Catwoman went who was reluctant to enroll her in a scene that was deemed unnecessary. The idea of having a henchwoman with such a name in that story makes sense, but I don't think that idea was ever in the scri...

Re: The Londinium Larcenies // The Batcave Podcast

Citizens, I quite enjoyed listening to Ben and the other panelists on the podcast discuss Batman's foreign excursion to fight crime in swinging Londinium. Interestingly, this fun story was pitched inthe 2 part format of season 2 and stretched out for season 3 by script editor Charles Hoffman, who re...

Re: SCOOBY MET BATMAN HOW MANY TIMES??

Citizens,

The BATMAN BRAVE AND THE BOLD cartoon did a crossover episode with Scooby. IMHO their effort was not as good as the pre title scene they did with the old Space Ghost cartoon, but this is likely the answer.

Re: NEW BATMAN 66 MEETS??? COMIC

Citizens, I also like the idea of Batman meeting the Saint. The story would need to involve a similar dynamic to Batman and Green Hornet since law enforcement the around the world considers the Saint a criminal. Now, if the villains were Dr. Rayt Marius and the Crown Prince Rudolph, featured in 'The...

Re: NEW BATMAN 66 MEETS??? COMIC

Citizens Despite the Wild Wild West being set in the late 1860s and our show being set a century later, I could see either West and Gordon or the Dynamic Duo travelling in time. If Batman and Robin went back in time, having the heroes up against Count Manzepi (sp?) would be outstanding. Using Dr. Lo...

Re: Times when the Dynamic Duo were stupid

Doctor Shimel wrote: *Batman and Robin deciding to shake the Joker's hand in the Catwoman (Eartha Kitt) teamup, never mind that they had dealt with him countless other times and escaped death on numerous occasions. This was the instance of Bat-stupidity that leapt to my mind. To be fair though, Robi...
