Re: Batman reference on the Secret of the Sally Bell

On a side note, in the movie "The Fortune Cookie," towards the end of the film, the two men spying on Jack Lemmon's character trying to prove fraud have decided to stop and go home. One remarks that he can make it home in time to watch Batman. Also, one of the men in the scene is Cliff Osm...

And of course as Flora MacMichael on the Real McCoys; which btw had episodes featuring Stafford Repp, Neil Hamilton and an episode about a crop duster named Buzz Cooper played by Adam West.

Re: Parodied Names in the '66 series

In the Egghead episode Bruce Wayne mentions to Dick that he had obtained raccoon pelts -- from a raccoon coat he had purchased from "a crooner who'd fallen on hard times". He meant Rudy Vallee, who later played Lord Ffogg! And Maid Marilyn was a takeoff of Maid Marion from Robin Hood of c...

Julie London is an excellent choice; another possibility would be Tina Louise. She had the face, body and voice as well.

I have a few: How about James Franciscus, Rhodes Reason, Ricardo Montalban, Russell Johnson, Rory Calhoun, Lyle Waggoner or Edson Stroll.

Re: Love American Style

They tried back in 1999, it just didn't have the same feel to it. Some shows just don't lend themselves to be re-done or re-booted because of the time in which they were originally done. Kind of like lighting in a bottle.

Re: Anyone here old enough to remember the original run?

I definitely remember the initial run of the series. As the adults would gather at the water cooler to talk about current events, I remember going to Kindergarten on Thursday mornings where my friends and I would gather at recess to talk about how B&R were going to escape from the death trap the...

Re: Yvonne Craig - May 16, 1937 – August 17, 2015 :(

Shatner did have the decency to tweet a note of condolence yesterday. I would hope that the Emmy "In Memorium" segment next month includes Yvonne. It's not like they're lacking in TV appearances. Interestingly, she appeared in the pilot of "I'm Dickens, He's Fenster," which co-s...

Re: Yvonne Craig - May 16, 1937 – August 17, 2015 :(

Needles to say, I was deeply saddened by the news of Yvonne Craig's passing. She was an amazing individual; extremely talented and possessing a beauty that encompassed her mind, body and spirit. I consider myself very fortunate to have met her and her wonderful sister Meridel on more than one occasi...

Re: Hammiest Bat-Villain(ess)?

I'll vote for Tut as played by the late great Victor Buono; who was also quoted with the following:

"Being on Batman (1966) allowed me to do something we actors are taught never to do: overact."

Re: For fans of Gilligan's Island

Howdy folks, I thought I'd give this a bump for two reasons. 1 - Christmas in July is a fun tradition. 2 - My wife has been teaching me how to convert PowerPoint files into videos to post on youtube . My first attempt was to convert the above poem I wrote last Christmas. I hope you enjoy it. Gilliga...
