Re: Robin's Homing Transmitter WIP

Sorry, Chuck, but you’ve made an error: as the photo Scott posted clearly shows, the knob is off center on the original. Just like your other items …a bit too good. It’s a sad, sad day for crime fighters in Gotham.😞 Um... BiffPow... that's perspective and parallax in play there, lol. Agree to disag...

Re: Auction of super collector Greg Jein

The first bat-boots for the show used the batsuit fabric and not leather. The fabric was sealed so we get a good idea of the original color blue of the Batsuit but it looks like they could still fade. The boots were lined in leather but the outside fabric blended in with the gloves, trunks and cowl....

Re: Robin's Homing Transmitter WIP

Probably a little bit of both!

When something is only seen as a fleeting glimpse, you can get away with so much !

It would drive me nuts...
Like this manhole cover I photographed.... Why.... Just.. Why....
It's a madhouse!!!!

Re: Auction of super collector Greg Jein

With every new auction, another question gets answered!!! I could not figure out what was going on with the buckle attachments of this rig! This one had multiple bars on both the buckle and the receiver. The receiver was bent in a weird way ... With the new images I was able to track it down. It's a...

The building is being renovated/added to and since it's in the northeast , Winter has stopped building but it will be full steam ahead in Spring.

Re: Auction of super collector Greg Jein

Two different museums! You can't have too many museums in my opinion!!! That was proven correct by the Gotham City Museum of Statistics!

Mark is building his in Logansport, Indiana and Stewart is building his in New Jersey.

Both are lifelong Batfans and friends of this board and others.

Re: Auction of super collector Greg Jein

Agreed! It's so good to know these will be out on display for everyone to enjoy. He just got planning commission approval to add a second floor to the building. Get ready for an enormus two story Batcave set! Where else can you put the #3 Barris Batmobile, a Batboat, a Batcycle,a Batgirl cycle, a Ba...

Re: Auction of super collector Greg Jein

I finally had a chance to talk to my friend Stewart after the auction. I had been taking with him before the auction about the pieces and he came out with some real winners! He got the first belt with the extra details in the engraving. This completes his screen used Batsuit and a quest he has been ...

Re: Utility Belt observations

As this was an early, likely the first, utility belt buckle, I wondered if it was the same buckle used in the audition costumes. I reviewed the audition video as best I could, but the bat on those buckles looks flat/etched and not detailed. Agreed... The spacing of the pinstripe looks good though. ...

Re: NECA DC Comics Prop Replica Batman '66 Batarangs

I see no problem with the Batarangs, as 1:1 scale prop replicas from the series fall under the "here today, gone tomorrow" category, unlike the seemingly endless Batmobile replicas and action figures. I do not expect NECA (or any other company) to actively produce 1:1 scale Bat '66 TV pro...

Re: Utility Belt observations

Like all the Bat logos from wardrobe, it seems Mr. Kemp was free to make what ever he wanted. The bat shape is the same as all the others but the ribs of the wings are defined in the engraving rather than the random engraved field inside the bat. They also did some drawing on it which you can see th...

Re: NECA DC Comics Prop Replica Batman '66 Batarangs

SteveA. , I get what you are saying about "flat". I agree the "bodies" are squared off compared to the originals. Companies are not doing themselves any favors when they bang the "Screen Accurate" drum and it's off at first glance. Lynne and I talk about this a lot. &qu...
