Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
Several decks of comics related playing cards, including one deck that features photos from the TV series. Some thought went into this, because all of the Queens are Catwoman images...even the Queen of Diamonds. I can only guess that Caroline Jones image was not licensed although some of the villain...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
Just to echo everyone else...That is an awesome Neal Adams drawing. I first got into Batman due to reruns of the 1966 series, but among the first comics I bought was the Stacked Cards Book & Record set with Adams art and the Ra's Al Ghul tabloid. Even though I was only 5, Adams art blew me away ...

Re: Bill Finger co-creator credit for Batman
Thanks for the additional info, Andy. Yeah, I know about Kane's original drawing. I read the book Bill the Boy Wonder by Marc Tyler Nobleman and Ty Templeton, but I had already read a lot about it before.

Bill Finger co-creator credit for Batman
Can anyone verify if this is true? I hope it is. http://source.superherostuff.com/comics/bill-finger-final-receive-batman-credit/ Bill Finger was responsible for creating a lot of what makes Batman such a special character. When you consider the number of great villains he created, Finger has to be ...

Re: EMBARESSED BY "BATMAN" T.V SHOW ???/
I'm not embarrassed by my affection for Batman or the TV show. The TV show is what led me to try the comics at a very young age, so I can enjoy different interpretations of Batman. However, I remember when I was in junior high and anyone who read comics was looked down on as a geek or nerd. We had a...

Re: New Adam & Burt Animated BATMAN movie
I wish that Bruce Timm were going to be involved. I think the Direct to DVD DC movies have taken a serious dip in quality since Timm is no longer involved with them.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
A promo item from Suntory in Japan: http://ebay.to/1v07Qw4 Very cool. Thanks. While technically not Bat"man" items, these were the last two Bat-items I bought that weren't comics. These are the promo pics and not my actual statues. I left both of mine in the box. The one where she has on ...

If you don't mind me asking, what is the item with the Lotus Submersible from The Spy Who Loved Me?Eknirb wrote:
Re: show ?
I think that, like most of the villains featured on the opening credits, the guy with the snake mask is just a generic bad guy. Kobra first appeared in 1975 and Copperhead didn't appear until 1968, so they both made debuts after the series started. Actually the King Cobra character that's shown in ...
Re: show ?
I was thinking Hugo Strange too. There is a Batman villain called Copperhead, who had the snake motif and he was around early 60s. Lee, excellent question-- I would take a guess that at least the first half season was at least plotted out, they also had access to the comic books so there's the othe...

Re: Who's BLU and Who's Not?
Like everyone else, Blu-Ray for me, too. That little five year old boy in me that first discovered Batman still can't believe that in less than a week, he is going to be able to hold every single episode of Batman in his hands...to watch whenever he wants to. That is really great since we went years...

Re: I think I'm softening a bit for the third season
I would also say the last two seasons of The Beverly Hillbillies were miles worse than the earlier seasons. I saw some of those a couple of years ago! They were really kind of bizarre. But I don't think the show ever took the ratings dive that Batman did. And the critics never liked the Hillbillies...

Re: I think I'm softening a bit for the third season
Aww man! I just started watching season 3 of The Man From U.N.C.L.E.!!! :( Hopefully I won't find it too bad. What was it with all those '60s shows back then where season 3 seemed to be a curse? You won't notice it as much at first, since the episodes weren't shown in production order. The better o...
