Re: WINDOW CAMEOS !! WISH LIST !!
[quote="epaddon"]For the ultimate ABC cross-promotion they could have had David Janssen as Dr. Kimble asking if he's seen a one-armed man or Roy Thinnes as David Vincent from "The Invaders" asking Batman to be on the lookout for people who aren't really people! :) quote] Fantasti...

Re: Adam West on The Rifleman and The Big Valley
Totally disagree. Don Knight was very fine (doing a Chief O'Hara Irish brogue!), but West was amazing. One of his most nuanced performances.

Re: Dozier interview before the movie
Was that Adam? Seeing the pics makes me wish Lee had done CW in season 3! I love Eartha, but Lee seems so much more srrious.

The Robot from Lost in Space with Dr. Smith. Tina Louise and Dawn Wells. The Prof from Gilligan's Island. Emma Peel and Steed. Great! Kirk Alyn and Noel Neill. Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan. Either Lewis Wilson (Batman 1943) or Robert Lowery (Batman 1949). Bob Kane. Boris Karloff. Sean ...

Re: Remembering David Wayne
He did a comedy series called "Housecalls" in the 80's that I really liked. I was stunned to find out he disliked doing Batman! He was wonderful as the Mad Hatter, and the character has continued in the comics partially due to him.

Re: Batman at the Boxoffice
I like that he said it's "not as scary" as a movie as it is on TV. Hardly anyone remembers the series had scary moments in the first season, by 1960's standards anyway. Actually, the phrase was 'not as crazy.' You're right! And they are correct. I like that too. But scary would have been ...

Re: Looking for Burt Ward/Robin personal appearance commerci
I had a similar experience. In Tennessee in the early 70's, Burt Ward during an personal appearance -- I remember in the local paper he said he received "a six figure check" :) -- he did a commercial for Magnavox, a now defunct maker of U.S. built TV's. I remember he said, "Holy Same ...

Re: BATMAN: Season 3 - which was best?
They're mostly pretty fun. The Siren one was hands down the best. The Tut episodes were good. The Louie The Lilac episodes were actually respectable. I liked a lot about Dr. Cassandra. Ida Lupino is hard not to like. And Lord Ffogg had some good moments. The pilot wasn't horrible. 'Surf's up' is a h...

Re: Batman at the Boxoffice
I like a lot about the film, but it was much less fast paced and exciting than any Batman episode that preceded it. This was really when Batman "Jumped the Shark"! Or in this case fought the shark. In Adam's book he mentioned that he held out for a lot more money, and demanded a lot more ...

I'd say Connecticut. Yes it's 97.8 miles away, but maybe the Batmobile blasts thru 80 miles of underground cave at super-speed before surfacing! Works for me.

Re: Diagnosis Murder
There was an episode of Police Woman, where in one scene he was reading a Batman comic book! It's on dvd -- but I haven't seen it since the original airing.

Re: Burt Ward in The Graduate?
:) That is incredibly strange. A few years ago I saw David Lynch (Twin Peaks) speak, and he mentioned the film 'Mulholland Drive', and that Naomi Watts did a scene (a film within a film scene) and she got a great deal of good notices for it, the actor playing with her was Chad Everett, who was secon...

Re: Burt Ward in The Graduate?
I believe Burt's name came up, but he was never EVER in serious contention for the role. If I remember correctly, in Burt's book, he said whenever he ran into Mike Nichols (who just passed away), Nichols would say, "I really wanted you for The Graduate!" Of course he did. Nichols was a gre...
