Re: Surf's Up Episode

twof's Batgirl Bat-Trap site has an article about the changes from the original script of this episode to the finished product, and there was a reference in it by Barbara Gordon to Undine's name and what it meant: http://batgirlbat-trap.com/omake/surf.html The whole thing makes interesting reading. ...

Gleeps, it's Batman wrote:I thought I'd read or heard that it was a money dispute second season, but I have no idea what the truth actually is.
It was a salary dispute. Gorshin wanted a raise to $5,000 per guest appearance.

You're entitled to your opinion. I thought it was stupid and an insult to the audience. That's my opinion.

We can agree to disagree.

Re: The ME-TV BATMAN Episode Discussion Thread

The one big problem I had with this entire episode, both part 1 and 2. If Robin was in the power of Catwoman all this time, with a room to sleep in and everything else...why didn't she unmask him and realize he was Dick Grayson, she was teaching him dancing lessons earlier in the season at stately ...

Re: The ME-TV BATMAN Episode Discussion Thread

For a non-actress, I thought Lesley Gore did a terrific job of acting in these episodes, doing an even better job than some of the real actresses who played henchmolls in S2. However, I hated how the show had to grind to a halt so she could sing a song. It wasn't a good sign when the show became a v...

Re: Faithful To The Comic?

personally I think Uslan has done almost as much to ruin Batman as DC Comics has. The myth of the grim and gritty Batman is very prevalent now despite the extraordinary lack of evidence in the early comics. Bingo! Yeah, last time I checked, I don't think Bob Kane and Bill Finger envisioned Selina K...

Re: Who played Vice Admiral Fangschliester's assistant?

She is probably just an extra who the director liked and used her as set dressing for the scene. She most likely never achieved any fame, as most extras don't. I can't remember if she has any lines. If she does, she'd have to be listed in the credits per SAG (Screen Actors Guild) rules. But if she ...

Re: Cesar the Most Sinister?

You make some good points, Yellow Oval. I think it was partly the laugh and partly the way Cesar said his lines. He could toss off silly lines like 'Honesty doesn't pay' to a disobedient Venus and it came across with real menace and anger.

They were nice drawings, yes, but they weren't of Joan Collins.

Re: Spoilers Batman 66 #6 Chandell's Chanteuse

I have to admit, the more I look at it and the more I think about it, it's bitterly disappointing that Joan Collins' likeness wasn't able to be used. Because of that, for me, something extremely important is missing. I mean, to me, she IS The Siren. The character was written specifically for Joan Co...

Re: The ME-TV BATMAN Episode Discussion Thread

clavierankh, I think Cesar Romero was EXCELLENT in this trilogy, but Terry Moore's shrillness and bad Monroe impression weighed everything down, although the script and direction didn't help her, either.

Yes, but only as a hallucination in Batman's mind. She really foiled Siren as Kathy Kane.

Re: Spoilers Batman 66 #6 Chandell's Chanteuse

I agree with clavierankh that it was a pretty basic caper for the Siren, too basic for someone of her criminal ambition. It's also frustrating that apparently they couldn't get the rights to Joan Collins' likeness, although I thought artist Jonathan Case did a good job making up for that with the wa...
