It was shot circa May 12, 1967. Here's a clipping from Variety: Adam West London 5.17.67.JPG Scott pointed out to me that the captions on Getty's images state 6th May 1967 as the actual shoot date which makes a lot more sense given the gap between wrapping S2 in Feb/March and the S3 shooting commen...

He met with the Pope (along with Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida) on May 6 and returned to LA on May 19.
