Re: ***SPOILERS*** ROTCC Discussion
Just wondering why in the opening credits the flip thru the comic books show the language to be in Latin? Despite its Latin content -- it's based on a work by Cicero that's scrambled into nonsense -- it's called "Greeked" text. Creative directors and graphic designers use it as filler in ...

Re: ***SPOILERS*** ROTCC Discussion
Ok, they seem to be setting up a call back with the ballet practice, did I miss it? I thought the same thing. Especially after the second scene of Dick working on ballet while exiled from the Batcave, I expected an eventual "roundhouse pirouette" or similar payoff. Maybe it got lost in an...

Re: ***SPOILERS*** ROTCC Discussion
Thanks for the Rogue's Gallery portrait, A. Pennyworth! I never noticed Black Widow during the Fathom screening.
And BTW, did anyone else expect a version of "Miranda" during the final Gotham Palace scene?
Cheers,

Re: ***SPOILERS*** ROTCC Discussion
When that red sign in the batcave tunnel zipped past, I just thought "freeze-frame Easter egg"! My favorite visual was the bat-eared space helmet. Some of the sound-effect words during the catfights were great. Ditto the henchman costumes and the batcave labels. It was done subtly, with wi...

Yes, the background sign is for the "Foam Rubber Convention" where the Duo managed to safely crash-land the Batcopter after Riddler's missile blasted it from the sky.

Re: Liberace Ratings Myth
I find it very hard to believe that episode is the highest rated, it's just so wishy washy. Liberace certainly cannot act! I'm just really not believing any of that. I'm not defending the myth -- I think Bob Furmanek and others have provided solid evidence to debunk it. But I don't think the episod...

Re: A New Batgirl Movie?
Batgirl has a major role in an upcoming DC Animation movie, The Killing Joke. It's based on an utterly depressing comic from the 80s, in which the Joker (in his modern-day homicidal psychopath incarnation), decides to see if he can drive Commissioner Gordon insane -- by victimizing Gordon's daughter...

Re: Worst Bat Villain Cast
Can't think of another sixties actress who could have fit that role as a substitute? Someone who could have combined beauty with some sort of creepiness. Seems to me Carolyn Jones did a creditable job at exactly that when she played Morticia Addams. In our re-writing of bat-history, casting Jones a...

The black goatee matched Tetch's black eyebrows, which are lifted straight from the comics.

Yes, "That Darn Catwoman" appeared on a Thursday night, following the Wednesday-night conclusion of the Zodiac Crimes three-parter. "Scat, Darn Catwoman" ran the following Wednesday, followed the next night by the first installment of the Penguin-Marsha three-parter.

Re: Did anybody notice...???
The guards at the jewelry store in The Zodiac Crimes, where Joker and Venus swipe the diamonds known as The Twins, share names with False Face henchmen: Pinkerton and Burns. Those were well-known private security companies back in the day ( one is still around ), so the names made literal sense for ...
