Yes they did indeed do monsters, and I think this may just be super7 trying to make better sculpts and more charecters? I also believe they alone are doing the "reaction" line now

Sorry for replying so late but I loved the '43 serials! I watched them all in one day and plan to rewatch the '49 serials the same way sometime soon. Probably one of the best times I've had watching anything batman!
