Sounds like Lou is saying they’re switching that ending to a different actor (I presume for digital/streaming release). Maybe they’ll have multiple alternate endings.

I found it amusing that they opted to depict the Black & White era of George Reeves' Superman.

I'm with Yellow Oval on this one-- I don't love the modern Batman comics so its not a shock I don't love the movie versions either.
If you want the truest "on-track" versions of the character go to Lewis Wilson in 1943-- the character was only 4 years old at that point so there wasn't that much room for interpretation-- he got the Don Diego part down, and his Batman was no-nonsense, and I loved how he got annoyed by his 14 year old sidekick's mistakes-- as you would.
Flash forward to Adam in 1966 and they are virtually straight adaptions of the comic books at the time, yes they devolved into comedy, but the best early ones reflect the "best" of the comics from the 50s and 60s.
Keaton did an admirable take in '89 but I can't get past the impracticality of the rubber cowl-- you can't fight if you can't see or turn your head.

Maybe it was a combination of the writing, his acting and the latest SFX, but I enjoyed Keaton’s Batman performance so much more than in the other 2 movies. Ben Affleck also was very good in his scenes too.

I thought his performance was amazing as well, and I particularly love that Keaten really embodied certain elements of the character that were largely ignored in his two solo movies. More specifically, I loved seeing him interact with the other heroes in the film. Now, this may not be an overly popular opinion on here, but I've always loved the 'Bat-Family' as a concept, and seeing how Batman mentors its different members (the robins, batgirl, etc.) is one of my favorite elements of more recent comics. So, I thought it was fun to see Keaton's Batman fill this sort of 'all-seeing-all-knowing' type of mentor role, kind of like a father figure of sorts, when interacting with the two Barry's and Supergirl. It makes me wish that we got a third Keaton film which introduced Robin...
"Batman told him a super funny joke. When the creature didn't laugh, that was proof!"

Agree. It's easy to see the weaknesses in the other 2 Keaton movies now that so much time has passed. I think given the right screenplay along with the best of today's tech, Keaton could do more movies and hit it on point. Same for Ben, too. Problem I had with his appearances was there was too much too soon and the continuity should have been a bit earlier for his take on the Batman's career. Hopefully, somebody gets this right someday.
