Riddle Me This #12
Miss me while I was on vacation? Well, I'm baaaaaack!!!!!
Riddle me this . . .
What is it that is wingless and legless,
Yet flies and cannot be imprisoned?
I run and run and yet I do not run away.
I long for sunlight but never see it.
What am I?
No looking on the Bat Computer (a.k.a. the Internet) for answers. You have to use your Bat brains alone! The Riddler

Riddle: "What is it that is wingless and legless,
Yet flies and cannot be imprisoned?"
Solution: Time (clavierankh got it.)
Riddle: "I run and run and yet I do not run away.
I long for sunlight but never see it.
What am I?"
Solution: The heart
Sorry Dynamic Dimwits -- I win again:

The Riddler with a goatee? Nice modern touch.
Re: Riddle Me This #12

Hey Edward,
Tights, mask, belt, gloves and attitude - perfect! Just need a couple red spray cans marked "A" and "B"...
(BTW, I give up - when IS a jet stream like a daffodil?!?)

The second riddle explained: A heart beats and beats (or runs and runs) but cannot run away because it's fixed in the human body. The heart "longs" for sunlight but can never see it because it's hidden away in the body.LittleLouisGroovy wrote:I don't get the second riddle at all...

I've got it!
The answer to the riddles are time and the human heart.
Obviously, the Riddler plans to knock over an upcoming event related to a computer dating website based in Gotham City. Something to promote the site to upscale clients or perhaps a shareholder's meeting.

Given that explanation, the answer could be any internal organ, as they all "run" in some fashion and are fixed in the human body.Edward Nigma wrote:The second riddle explained: A heart beats and beats (or runs and runs) but cannot run away because it's fixed in the human body. All the better for outwitting Batman, no? With a wide variety of organs to choose from, he has only to guess the wrong one for me to complete my caper.LittleLouisGroovy wrote:Given that explanation, the answer could be any internal organ, as they all "run" in some fashion and are fixed in the human body.
