Personally I could not care less who plays Batman.
But here is a wish list of what I'd like to see:

1 a well written script, where Batman gets to be a Detective.
2 a Batman/Bruce Wayne who is well adjusted and not prone to brooding.
3 stop the dopey gravelly voice.
4 a costume with less rubber, I'd love to see a fabric cowl with a shell. Ridiculous that Batman can't see, turn his head or hear out if his mask.
5 a single villain.
6 a movie with a total run time under 1 hour 50 minutes.
7 a Batmobile. Something with style, maybe red pinstripes.

Is that too much to ask?

The same hype occurred in 1988 with Keaton.
Affleck will be fine.
The key is size, in the comics, Batman and Superman are the same height or very close. I did not check, but I think the two actors are close in height. Plus Affleck has one super hero under his Belt.
Some days you just can't get rid of a ... SHARK!
