Hard to consider this article since it seems to skip over SUPERMAN THE MOVIE (1978) which not only redefined the idea of the superhero as a big budget feature, but who used the whole Logo as poster thing eleven years before Tim Burton's Batman did. Before the Superman movie the idea of really big stars appearing in comic book movies was out of the realm of possibilities.

I loved the Batman logo as seen in the 1989 movie posters. But I hated the rendition that was used on the costume. Ecch.
