R.I.P. Paul Mantee, Guest Bat-Actor, 82

Paul Mantee has died at age 82, the sad news from The Malibu Times.

Paul was henchman 'Cornell' in "Catwoman Goes to College / Batman Displays His Knowledge," He starred in ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS (1964), with Adam West in a featured support role. Among his long list of credits, Paul costarred in the 1980s series CAGNEY & LACEY as 'Det. Al Corassa.'

Was he the guy with the red hair who slinks in his seat when Batman starts describing him to a T?

Paul played 'Cornell', the henchman who frames Batman by wearing the stolen costume.

I'd forgotten that two of the cast members of Robinson Crusoe on Mars went on to play Batman - could be a very sneaky trivia question! Paul must have been bigger in the waist than Adam; looks like the suit just barely fit him...
