Did anyone see this?

It may be the great missed opportunity for genre fans of the 1960s: the Adam West Batman show had an unproduced episode written by none other than Harlan Ellison -- and it was one which would have introduced the villain Two-Face into the series. For fans wondering what they missed, Ellison is now offering a chance to sneak a peek at the unmade "Two-Way Crimes of Two-Face."

Batman Prequel Series Coming to Fox
The script for the unmade episode is just one contained in the fifth volume of Ellison's Brain Movies series of teleplay collections, alongside scripts for Burke's Law, the short-lived Logan's Run TV series and an unproduced NBC series created by the writer, The Dark Forces.
STORY: 1960s 'Batman' TV Show Returning in New Toy Line, Comics
Ellison was far from an unknown when he pitched the episode in 1966; at that time, he had already published multiple short works under his own and other names, as well as having written for TV shows such as The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Outer Limits (Indeed, that year saw him write "The City on the Edge of Forever" for Star Trek's first season).
It's possible that his pitch simply wasn't in keeping with the show's unexpected tone for the Dark Knight, with William Dozier and Lorenzo Semple, Jr.'s series launching that year. The Brain Movies collection promises to explain why the script was never produced, but with DC Entertainment's digital Batman 66 series currently reinventing the show for a new audience, perhaps it's time that someone adapted it into comic book format…

Hadn't seen it. But here's a link to the book page at Ellison's site. Sounds interesting, to be sure.
