Thank you so much for posting this. Honestly, there isn't much I can add to the observations in your original post, although I will note that some of Julie Gregg's gyrations while watching Batman and Robin apparently suffocate certainly aren't in the stage directions, and must have been something she and/or the director came up with. As you say, it's a terrific performance because she rarely portrayed such a vapid, narcissistic character in her career.
I completely concur that it was good they nixed the original and silly idea of having Finella wearing prison stripes underneath her coat in the tag scene. I suspect the writer got the idea from the Zelda tag scene in which she was wearing prison stripes.
