Aunt Harriet away from Wayne Manor

I've been told by reliable sources (very reliable) that there was something of a West/Shatner feud because of their competing for similar roles. I've always doubted it. I've been in the company of both men, Adam is well over six feet tall while Bill Shatner is much closer to 5'5" I'm 5'10" and I towered over him.

I can't imagine they were ever up for the same parts since the remaining cast is often set based on the lead actor height. I.e. Actors like Peter Falk, William Shatner and Robert Conrad was short so too was the rest of the cast, While actors like Adam and Jack Lord were given taller casts.

But what do I know? It's still fun to speculate.
