If A Comedic Batman Were Made Today, Who Would You Cast?

Post by 4theboids »

Have to think about our heroes for a bit, but for villains I could see:

Jerry Seinfeld - The Joker

Michael Richards or a younger Robin Williams - The Riddler

Jason Alexander - The Penguin

Wayne Knight - King Tut

Sandra Bulllock or Marina Sirtis - Catwoman

What say you?

My vote for a comedic Batman would be Adam Scott.

What the heck is this? The Seinfeld cast doing Batman, IE: Julia Louis-Dreyfuss as Catwoman?? LOL

I'd cast an unknown (or almost unknown as in that of Adam West) as Batman and Robin just like the first time around. As for the villains I don't know. I don't watch TV and have no idea who anyone is today.

Hey, I think you nailed it with James Cromwell as Com. Gordon. great casting.
I find you to be odious, abhorrent and insegrevious.

Jason Carter for the Joker.

Zoe Saldana for Catwoman.

David Tennant for the Riddler.

Jason Alexander for the Penguin.

If he wasn't dead, I'd say Dom DeLuise for the role of King Tut.

Patrick Stewart for Egghead.

Daniel Radcliffe for Bookworm.

Alan Cummings for Alfred.

He may be a bit old for the part, but my choice for a comedic Batman would be Bruce Campbell.

Siren wasn't a comedic character at all, and my choices in another thread of Vanessa Williams or Liz Hurley would be for a serious, Joan Collins-style Siren. For a more comedic Siren, my choice would be Anna Faris.
'I thought Siren was perfect for Joan.'--Stanley Ralph Ross, writer of 'The Wail of the Siren'

My hobbies include gazing at the Siren and doing her bidding, evil or otherwise.

'She had a devastating, hypnotic effect on all the men.'--A schoolmate describing Joan Collins at age 17

The late Leslie Nielson would have made the perfect Commissioner Gordon.

CG: When will you have the crime solved, Batman?
B: I can't tell.
CG: You can tell me; I'm the Commissioner.
B: I mean, I'm not sure.
CG: Can't you take a guess?
B: Not for another day or so.
CG: You can't take a guess for another day or so?
:D
Oh, and instead of Bonnie, the Commissioner's secretary would be named Shirley. You know why.

Uh, maybe 10 years ago - I googled this guy, not knowing who he is, and --- yeah, 10 years ago.

I think unknowns should be cast as Batman and Robin if any such project were undertaken. There's no one out there who resembles Burt Ward in the slightest degree and Dozier and FitzSimons did say they thought Ward came right out of the comic books as Robin before Ward even uttered one word in his audition.
