What was the first episode to not feature the first part recap? I'm half way through season two and they're still continuing.

Pretty sure it was the Joker key episodes.

The Key episodes were filmed the week before the Otto Preminger Mr. Freeze appearance, which helps explain why Burt Ward makes an effort to hide his medically wrapped arm in the Marsha episodes but not the Joker eps.

Correct. Though I think they sneak one more instance in after the key caper.

The Penguin's Nest/ The Bird's Last Jest has the full recaps. This was the first arc filmed for the second season but held until later in the season.

And just think how much time was used up in those bloody recaps. If they hadn't done those, think of what may have been seen. More time showing Batman and Robin struggling to escape for sure, but maybe some cherished moments would have been made. Just a thought.
