Sorry, no. I find that writing this story takes up a lot of time and doesn’t leave me any to find appropriate screen caps or make drawings of my own.

Part 26: Batman’s Balancing Act

Having walked out onto the wire ten feet Batman has finally reached Robin. Batman then cautiously unfastens his utility belt. Balancing precariously on the wire, Batman holds the belt in his right hand and slowly extends his arm out as far away from his body as he can. He then carefully lowers himself into a crouching position and reaches down to grasp the ropes around Robin’s wrists. With almost superhuman strength and balance, Batman begins to stand up and pull Robin up with him. Suddenly, Catwoman’s second trap is triggered! Just as Catwoman planned, when enough of Robin’s weight was lifted off the hook the entire mechanism was released from the ceiling. The hook, the cable and the pulley system hurtled to the floor. The pulley system, which a moment before had been firmly attached to the ceiling, barely missed both Batman and Robin as it fell.

The trap caught Batman off guard and he wobbled dangerously on the thin wire. But through skillful use of both Robin and his utility belt as counterweights he managed to steady himself again. With great effort he pulled Robin up to the wire and out of range of the cougar’s slashing paws. Reluctantly, he is forced to drop the utility belt so he can grasp his companion with both hands. With Robin’s ankles and wrists bound Batman knows he will have to carry Robin back to safety. He carefully picks up Robin and holds him just like a tightrope walker using a balancing pole. Robin exclaims, “Holy Flying Wallendas!”

Batman begins to slowly move backwards on the wire. Robin looks down into the pit and sees the cougars pacing angrily; he knows the slightest misstep by Batman and they will both end up in the pit. He closes his eyes and slows his breathing to calm himself. He doesn’t want to do anything that might disturb Batman’s concentration.

Slowly Batman inches his way toward the platform and safety. The cougars pace and growl below as they sense that their meal is about to escape. Exhibiting extreme concentration and strength Batman finally reaches the railing. He places one foot on the railing and then the other. With Robin in his arms he has no choice but to jump backwards off the railing and land with a solid thud on the platform.

Relieved to be off the wire neither of the Caped Crusaders hears the cracking sound from the hinge as they land on the platform. Unbeknownst to our heroes some of the instant Bat-weld failed from the shock of their landing. For now it is holding, but for how long?

Now that he believes there safely on the platform, Batman attends to Robin and uses his Bat-Knife to slice through the restraints binding his wrists and ankles. Robin’s fighting spirit quickly returns. “We should find a place to hide Batman. Catwoman and her minions will almost certainly return later tonight. We can arrest them with their ill-gotten gains.”

“No old chum, not this time. We both need to be our best to defeat that felonious feline and her gang; and you’ve had an exhausting ordeal tonight. Catwoman and her nefarious gang can wait for another day. Sit down and rest for a few minutes while I look around to see if there are any clues as to what she has planned next. We’ll leave as soon as I’m finished looking around.”

As Batman searches for clues Robin begins to examine himself and his costume. He finds nothing wrong until he looks over his shoulder and sees that his cape has been shredded. “Batman, you rescued me in the nick of time! Look at my cape! Those cougars almost made mincemeat out of me.”

“Mincemeat! You’ve done it again old chum! I have the perfect ruse to lure Catwoman into a false sense of security.”

Robin is very perplexed as Batman extracts his Bat-Radio from his utility belt. “Batman calling Batcave. Batman calling Batcave, come in Batcave.”

The steady voice of the Alfred crackles back in response, “Batcave here, how may I be of assistance?”

“Batman checking in to tell you everyone is safe, but we could use a few items delivered to our location. And time is of the essence.”

“I would be delighted to help sir. I’ll make a list of the things you need.” A minute later, at the conclusion of the dictated list, Alfred replies, “That is a most unusual list sir, but I believe I can deliver everything to you in less than forty-five minutes.”

Part 27: Batman Sets a Trap of His Own

Forty-three minutes after hanging up the phone, Alfred glides the Wayne limousine to a stop at the rear door of the abandoned gymnasium. Batman and Robin rush to the car. After a brief talk with Alfred, the duo unload several bags from the limousine’s trunk. With the car unloaded Alfred pulls away and parks the limousine in a secluded spot away from the gymnasium.

Back inside the gymnasium the duo quickly get to work setting their trap. Robin removes his tattered cape and lays it out on the floor. Batman extracts one of his old capes from one of the bags provided by Alfred and places it on the floor next to Robin’s tattered cape. He then pulls a new yellow cape out of the bag and hands it to the Boy Wonder. Finally, Batman pulls out the final item in the bag, a small box.

Meanwhile, Robin has put on his new cape and is now removing items from the second bag. On each cape he has set a large bundle wrapped in white butcher paper. And next to each bundle several large soup bones. “We should hurry Batman, they could be back at any time.”

From across the room Batman replies, “I planted both Bat-Bugs. We can listen in to know what she’s up to. Hopefully, shall give us a specific time when the whole gang will be here and that’s when we’ll pounce.”

Robin has unwrapped the butcher paper and deposited 10 pounds of hamburger on each cape. Batman returns and helps Robin roll up the capes with the meat and bones inside. They pick up their respective bundles and step to the railing and toss the bundles into the pit. The cougars, having caught scent of the raw meat, immediately attack the bundles. The capes are shredded almost instantly and the cougars begin devouring the meat. Robin stares aghast at what he sees, “Holy buffet, that could’ve been me!”

Batman puts his hand on Robin’s shoulder, “We’ve seen enough, we should go.”

The duo slip out the back door and make their way to the limousine. They make sure no prying eyes are watching them as they slip into the back seat.

“I must say sir, I’m a little confused as to why you’re using the Wayne limousine when the Batmobile is out in front of the building.”

“It’s all part of the ruse Alfred. When Catwoman returns she’ll see the Batmobile out front and suspect that we’ve fallen for her trap… as it were. When she investigates further, she’ll find some cleverly placed evidence in the pit with her cougars. She’ll quickly conclude that both Robin and myself were caught in her vicious trap. Knowing her like I do, I suspect her actions will then become even more brazen than before. Her audacity will lead to her downfall.”

“I certainly hope so sir. I do worry so when you and Master Robin face off against this ferocious feline! I keep hoping that your efforts to reform her will finally pay off.”

“As do I Alfred, as do I.”

Part 28: The Cat Falls for Batman’s Trap

Catwoman and her minions drive through the gates of the Academy. The girls have all changed back into their school uniforms to give the impression that they were on campus the entire evening. Catwoman pulls the car over and speaks to Katya and Katrina, “You have 10 minutes until curfew, so get back to the dorm as quickly as possible. Kitty will come with me and we’ll check on how Robin has fared. After we’ve checked on Robin, I’ll escort Kitty back to the dorm since it will be after curfew. It would be too suspicious for me to visit you in your rooms, so I’ll send Kitty to tell you what has happened to poor, little Robin.”

The two girls giggle at the prospect that Robin has been devoured by the cougars. They exit the car and quickly make their way towards the dorm. Catwoman and Kitty continue on to the gymnasium. They soon spot the Batmobile and their pulses quicken. Has Batman rescued Robin, or have they both fallen into the pit?

Catwoman parks the car in the same secluded spot that Alfred had used an hour earlier. They cautiously make their way to the building in case Batman and Robin are lying in wait for them. They enter the building and slowly make their way to the viewing platform to look into the pit. Both women gasp as they spot the shredded capes.

Kitty exclaims, “You’ve done it Catwoman! You’ve eliminated Batman and Robin!”

Catwoman closes her eyes, grips the railing tightly and purrs, “Purrfect, absolutely purrfect.” She spins around and leans back against the railing. “Gotham City is now my playground Kitty. I can rob all of the banks. I can rob all of the art museums. I can even steal from the rich and give to the poor. And then I’ll rob the poor because they’ll be rich! Ha ha! It feels so good to finally have Batman and Robin out of the way. Kitty, you can’t even imagine how frustrating it’s been to have Batman thwart my plans time after time. And now… there is no one to stop me!”

Kitty has been staring down into the pit the entire time. “Catwoman, I don’t see them. All I see are the shredded capes. I can’t believe the cougars ate both of them.”

“Cougars hide their food after they’ve eaten their fill my dear Kitty. Somewhere down there, hidden behind something, are all that’s left of the recently departed Batman and Robin. But that does create a problem for us.”

Kitty looks confused, “A problem Catwoman?”

“Yes, someone is bound to notice the Batmobile just sitting outside this building. Someone will investigate and they’ll find what’s left of Gotham City’s greatest crime fighters. The police will search this building from top to bottom. I’ll move my things to my downtown cat lair tonight. Tomorrow morning, as soon as curfew is lifted, I want the three of you to come over here and we’ll wipe the place down to eliminate any fingerprints.”

“Tomorrow is Saturday Catwoman; curfew ends at 7 AM. But if we move the Batmobile tonight no one will come investigate and we can keep using this marvelous hideout.”

“If we were up against any run of the mill crime fighter we could do that Kitty. But we’re talking about Batman and the Batmobile. That car is bristling with anti theft devices. No, it’s not worth the risk trying to move it and possibly alerting everyone on campus what we’re up to. It’s time to abandon his place. It’s done its job; we are free from Batman and Robin!”

Meanwhile, back in the Batcave a cowled figure and his faithful servant are listening to every word.

“Well done sir! Your ruse has worked perfectly. You can capture Catwoman and all three of her minions first thing tomorrow morning.”

“Yes Alfred, this has worked out exactly as I planned. Now, can you make sure that Dick Grayson is up by 6 AM and have a light breakfast waiting for us? Batman and Robin have an important appointment to keep.”

“It will be my pleasure sir!”

I dusted this off and am intending to finish it this time. It should only be four more parts and they are 90% written. Go back to the start if you haven't seen it or don't remember it.

Comments welcome.

Part 29: The Battle Begins

Batman and Robin exit the Wayne limousine behind an abandoned warehouse one mile from the campus. Alfred wishes them good hunting and promptly drives away. A quick Bat-Jog and the Caped Crusaders are on the campus a few minutes later.

They approach the old gymnasium just a few minutes after 7AM. Robin wants to throw the door open and rush in and catch the gang by surprise. Batman emphasizes a more methodical approach. He retrieves the Bat-Voice-Analyzer from his utility belt and aims it through the back door which he has opened a few inches. A few seconds later the device confirms the existence of four distinct voices coming from inside. “As I had hoped, all four of them are inside gloating over their perceived victory. Now that we know all four of them are inside we can rush in and surprise them.”

Robin pulls the door wide open and runs in. Batman is hot on his heels. They find the four women staring into the pit pointing and giggling as the cougars paw at the shredded capes. So enraptured by their supposed victory they don’t hear their foes approach until they’re just a few feet behind them. The four of them turn together and none of them can believe their eyes. They simply stare in open mouthed astonishment at the deceased duo standing just a few feet away.

Catwoman is the first to react. Still baffled by the sudden appearance of the Dynamic Duo she points into the pit, “But… but… you’re down there. How… how… can you be up here?” She looks over the railing again and reassures herself that she sees the shredded capes. “I see your capes… I see bones. I… I… I…”

“Just a simple little trick to fool you Catwoman and throw you off guard. Something even the most junior crimefighter could easily pull off.”

The last comment enraged Catwoman and she snatches her cat o’ nine tails from the nearby table and snarled, “You girls take care of Robin! I want Batman all for myself!” She turns her gaze to Batman with murderous intent.

Batman wants Robin well clear of their feline foe. “Stand back Robin, I’ll handle Catwoman.” The Boy Wonder quickly does as is told and moves away from Batman. Robin notices that Catwoman’s minions are transfixed by the pending battle between Batman and their mistress, so he rushes at Katya and Katrina brandishing a pair of Batcuffs. Moments later the two are cuffed together with their wrists entwined in the bars of the railing. Now the odds are even with Robin facing off against Kitty and Batman against Catwoman.

Catwoman advances on Batman and raises her right hand above her head. She begins to twirl the whip in preparation to attack. Faster and faster she swings the whip and it soon begins to make an ominous sound as it slices through the air. And then Catwoman raises herself up on her toes and she begins to spin with the whip. Times seems to slow down as everyone is mesmerized by the graceful movements of the woman brandishing the whip. They all stare in wonder as her lithe, muscular body pirouettes before them.

But on the third revolution Catwoman aims the whip at Batman’s head. The Caped Crusader was temporarily mesmerized like the others, but quickly ducks as the whip slices through the air where his head had been moments before. The whip hits the wall behind Batman and the surface of the concrete wall explodes in a cloud of dust.

Batman yells, “Careful Robin! There are steel balls sewn into the ends of the strands of the cat o’ nine tails; one blow could be fatal!”

Catwoman howls in delight, “That’s right Batman! You and the Boy Wonder will not be leaving this room alive! I’ll dispatch you with my claws, my whip or my pets!”

Part 30: The Battle Rages On

Meanwhile, Kitty begins twirling her whip in preparation to attack Robin. The Boy Wonder, heeding Batman’s warning to stay clear of the whip, can only back away as he has no idea how to fight this young woman as long as she is brandishing her deadly weapon.

Kitty doesn’t have the murderous drive of her Mistress, but she has no intention of going to jail either. She intends to win this fight and get away, but she doesn’t need to kill Robin to do that. Neither of the two young combatants wants to make the first move, so they stand their ground and eye each other warily as the fight between Catwoman and Batman rages on.

Catwoman’s face is a mask of fury as she glares at her Batman. Her only thought is that he should be dead by now. She starts spinning the whip again as Batman quickly backs away trying to formulate a plan. He pulls the Bat-Shield from his utility belt and unfolds it. Catwoman swings the whip with murderous force, but the wicked blow bounces off the Bat-Shield. She strikes again and again, but Batman is unharmed as the Bat-Shield takes the horrific onslaught from the whip.

Batman can see her tiring with her attempts to kill him with a single blow. Soon he must go on the offensive. Her blows may appear ineffective, but the Bat-Shield is starting to crack from the vicious attacks. A few more solid blows from the whip could destroy it. He contemplates rushing her with the Bat-Shield blocking the next blow, but even one strand of the whip coming over the top of the Bat-Shield could severely injure him.

Catwoman strikes again and the whip finally punches a ragged hole in the shield. What Batman feared would happen has now occurred; the Bat-Shield has failed. However, what seems like a tragedy actually saves him. He pulls the Bat-Shield to his left as hard as he can as several strands of the cat-o-nine tails are caught in the ragged hole. The whip is instantly pulled from Catwoman’s hand.

For a moment Catwoman is stunned at having been disarmed so quickly and easily just as victory was about to be hers. But she quickly regains her composure and rushes at Batman with her right arm raised to strike. Having tossed the Bat-Shield aside he can only duck and roll out of the way. She slashes at him and just catches his cape. Unbeknownst to Batman, five long slash marks now decorate his cape where her razor sharp claws sliced through the thin fabric.

Batman jumps to his feet and studies his opponent as she moves into another attack position. She rushes him and slashes again. He steps away from her attack and grabs her around the waist as she rushes by. Knowing that she will slash at his hands he throw her aside expecting her to crash to the ground.

However, with astounding agility she keeps her balance and pirouettes to face him. She taunts him, “Don’t you know, cats always land on their feet Batman!”

The two circle each other as each looks for an opening to attack. Neither combatant notices that they are now both on the platform that was supposed to send Batman to his death. And no one notices the instant Bat-weld holding up the platform is straining under the weight of the two combatants.

Part 31: The Decisive Blow

Catwoman raises her right hand, steps forward and slashes at Batman with a downward stroke. Once again the Caped Crusader nimbly jumps out of the way, but Catwoman presses the attack. She lunges at him and slashing wildly with her left hand. Batman leaps backwards as her hand narrowly misses his chest.

Catwoman rushes at Batman and again targets him with a vicious slash with her right hand. Batman dodges out of the way, but she strikes his cape again. Her razor sharp claws shred the fabric as easily as slicing through the air. Batman’s eyes momentarily grow wide as he sees the massive damage done to his cape and realizes that if not for his quick reaction that could have been his chest. Catwoman laughs at Batman’s reaction, but there is no humor in her homicidal cackle.

Catwoman drops into a slight crouch with her claws at the ready. The evil in her eyes makes her more dangerous than the cougars in the pit. She leaps at Batman and swung her right hand downwards in a murderous arc. Batman again retreats, but his left heel catches on the uneven floor and he stumbles backwards. In desperation he grasps the guardrail with his right hand as he falls against it. Now completely off-balance and sprawled against the guardrail he is almost defenseless. Catwoman attacks yet again. Batman raises his left hand and miraculously catches Catwoman’s right wrist inches before her claws would have sliced through his cowl. The force of the blow keeps him off balance and he would have been completely knocked off his feet if he hadn’t maintained his iron grip on the guardrail.

A malicious grin spread across Catwoman’s face as she sees the opportunity to finally vanquish Batman. With one hand gripping her right wrist and his other hand on the guardrail, Batman has no way to block a blow from her free hand. Towering over the helpless crimefighter she quickly raises her left hand back in preparation to deliver the killing blow. Having no other option to defend himself, Batman uses his grip on the guardrail as a pivot point and pushes on Catwoman’s wrist as hard as he could.

His timing was perfect. He pushed her away at the exact moment she had raised her hand far over her head. The feline predator was only thinking of her attack, so Batman’s defensive move came as a complete surprise. Catwoman stumbles backwards and lands hard against the guardrail. Infuriated at her missed opportunity she pushes off hard against the guardrail to once again launch herself at Batman. However, as she pushes against the guardrail the strain proves too much for the Instant Bat-weld. With a loud crack the Instant Bat-weld on the hinge gives way. The trapdoor mechanism triggers and the floor under Batman and Catwoman falls away.

Twenty feet from the trap Kitty and Robin watch in horror as their mentors disappear from view. Robin screams, “Batman!” and rushes to the edge of the trap. Kitty immediately takes advantage of Robin’s distraction and throws down three smoke bombs; one of which bounces off the floor and falls into the cougar pit.

Robin sees Batman barely hanging on to the guardrail and quickly reaches down and grasps his wrist. Batman is then able to reach up with his other hand and grab the rail. With Robin’s assistance he pulls himself up to the solid portion of the deck.

With Batman safe Robin looks down into the swirling smoke and yells frantically, “Catwoman! Catwoman!” He turns to Batman and asked with a trembling voice, “What can we do?”

Batman slowly pulls himself to his feet and speaks with a small tremor in his voice. “I’m afraid it’s too late for her Robin. I was able to maintain my hold on the rail, but when the trapdoor was triggered Catwoman fell into the pit.

“She may have gotten away in the smoke!”

“I don’t see how. She almost certainly suffered a serious injury in the fall. And to make matters worse, the cougars were directly beneath us when the trapdoor mechanism was triggered.”

The two men look hopelessly into the dense smoke billowing out of the pit knowing there was nothing they could do for their arch enemy.

Momentarily suppressing his sorrow over the loss of their beautiful foe, Robin turns his attention to Kitty. Frantically looking around for the wily minion he realizes that she must have escaped in the pandemonium. “It appears Kitty has gotten away Batman. Should we try to follow her?”

“No Robin. We’ve already encountered several of Catwoman’s traps and we know they have the potential to be quite deadly. Rushing through these catacombs chasing Kitty could have serious consequences for us. No, we’ll explore these catacombs and disable the traps when we are at our peak physical and mental abilities. That means it will have to wait until tomorrow.”

After a few moments they turned their attention to Katya and Katrina. The two young women are still in the corner where Robin had handcuffed them together at the beginning of the fight.

Katya spoke through heavy sobs as Batman and Robin approached, “She was so good to us. She taught us so much.” Meanwhile, Katrina is in shock and simply stares at Batman unable to speak. Batman wants to chastise the young women for choosing a life of crime at such a tender age, but he knows now is the time for compassion; not the time for a speech. He and Robin quietly lead the two young women away to the waiting police cars.

Part 32: The Fate of the Cougars

Batman and Robin enter the Commissioner’s office to see their wizened old friend on the phone looking as troubled as they’ve ever seen him. As they approach his desk he turns to face them as he speaks in the phone, “They’ve just arrived, I’ll ask them.”

Crestfallen, the Commissioner looks at Batman, “It’s the Gotham City zoo on the line, Zookeeper Stanley, they’re prepared to… to… examine the mountain lions… if you know what I mean. All they need is your go ahead.”

“I’m sorry Commissioner, I can’t condone harming these two noble creatures just to satisfy our morbid curiosity as to the fate of Catwoman. The loss of Catwoman is troubling enough; I won’t have two more deaths on my conscience.”

The Commissioner and Chief O’Hara are greatly relieved. The commissioner excitedly speaks into the phone, “Batman does not want an examination! Do not harm the cats! Please put those animals on display as soon as possible Zookeeper Stanley!”

The Commissioner hangs up the phone and turns to Batman, “What happened in the cat lair Batman? How did Catwoman…” the Commissioner was unable to finish the question.

“It’s quite tragic Commissioner. Catwoman had prepared an elaborate trap for me when I went to rescue Robin. However, I was able to detect the first trap she had prepared and disable it using Instant Bat-weld. Later, when Robin and I returned to the lair to apprehend Catwoman and her gang, Catwoman attacked me. We ended up fighting on the very trap door that she had intended for me to trigger and fall into the pit while rescuing Robin.”

The chief was enthralled by Batman’s story and breathlessly asked, “So what caused the trap door to trigger?”

“When rescuing Robin I only had time to use the Instant Bat-weld on one of the hinges of the trapdoor. That was more than sufficient to support my weight and Robin’s, but sadly, not enough to support both myself and Catwoman while engaged in hand to hand combat. I had a firm grip on the railing when the trapdoor triggered and was able to keep myself from falling into the pit. Catwoman… was not so fortunate.”

The Commissioner looked more serious than ever, “Are you certain that she… that she…”

Batman replies soberly, “We found her cat mask, ears and necklace after the cougars were removed. We found no other trace of her. There was no way out of that pit Commissioner. I’m afraid she met a grisly end.”

The four men observed a moment of silence for their fallen adversary.

The Commissioner speaks, “I have good news on the two that were captured. I’ve spoken to Principal Balding and they’ll be allowed to return to the academy next year if they serve their time without any problems. He was very impressed by the Boy Wonder’s speech on good citizenship a few days ago and feels that taking the girls back is what a good citizen would do.

Robin blushes as the three men look at him approvingly and Batman softly says, “Well done old chum.”

The Commissioner continues, “Have you found any clues concerning the third girl?”

Batman shook his head dejectedly, “We searched the area thoroughly, but found no sign of Catwoman’s third protégé. It appears that she learned well from her mistress and has disappeared into the shadows.”

Chief O’Hara shakes his head, “We can only hope she learned from Catwoman’s fate that crime doesn’t pay.”

Commissioner Gordon frowns, “I am not very hopeful in that regard Chief. Cat burglary gets into the blood of some of these criminals and nothing seems to get it out.”

“Aye’n, that’s for sure Commissioner.”

Batman interrupts, “Gentlemen! We can never give up hope that these criminals can one day be reformed. As duly deputized officers of the law it is our duty to bring them to justice and then show them the errors of their ways.”

Commissioner Gordon is duly admonished, “You’re right of course Batman, but sometimes… sometimes… when events as tragic as this occur… I just don’t know.”

Batman observe, “We can’t force people to be good citizens gentlemen; each of us can serve as sterling examples and hope they follow our lead.”

The others nod their head in agreement.

Part 33: Kitty Returns

A lone figure cautiously approaches the desolate cat lair. As she was taught by her mentor, she carefully listens for any sound before moving a few feet closer, but she is met with silence at every step.

She enters the door and is faced with a decision; investigate the lower level first, or go up the stairs and examine the upper level and then work her way down. She decides to go up first. She slowly works her way up the stairs, but encounters nothing unexpected. She stands in the short hallway and examines the panel used to set the Bat trap. It appears untouched since Catwoman threw the switches.

She takes a few more steps and then pauses at the edge of the platform. All her senses are on high alert, but there is nothing here to cause alarm. She then slowly walks out onto the solid portion of the platform and looks around. The people and cougars are gone of course, but everything else is exactly as she saw it just before she threw the smoke bombs; ominously, the trapdoor is still hanging down into the pit. She carefully moves to the doorway and looks down the hallway. Sensing there is nothing to be learned here she quickly retraces her steps and moves to the lower level.

Moving to the right of the stairs she enters the hidden passageway. Standing in near darkness she decides to forgo her flashlight and rely on her excellent night vision as well as her superb memory. Shortly after Catwoman had set up the cat lair she memorized the floor plan just in case she ever had to move through the building in the dark. That decision serves her well today.

She moves through the passageways slowly, being careful not to trigger any sensing devices that Batman has left behind just in case she returned. She notices the first one moments after deciding not to use her flashlight. A small electric eye that would have detected her flashlight beam was hidden high up on the wall. As she goes down one passageway after another she encounters two more electric eyes and two microphones. She deftly avoids all of them.

It takes her almost 10 minutes to move the 150 feet through the dark, maze-like passageways, but she finally arrives at her destination. For the first time in nearly a week she smiles. The secret doorway leading into the cougar pit had been opened… from the inside.

dell, I can say as a professional writer that this is quite well-written. Most 'fanfics' tend to be either choppy or 'overwritten,' but your omniscient narration is quite well-done.

It plays like a novel or action movie, rather than as an arc of the show. Not saying that is good or bad, just saying that is how it is. I liked how you used the season 1 Catwoman, rather than the season 2 Catwoman. Still, that said, I would've liked a bit more Bat/Cat dialogue in the story. That was my only problem with it.

I also liked the GCPD all having O' prefixes in their surnames and 'Principal Balding.' I take it that was a 'Saved By The Bell' reference.

I enjoyed it and it went by so fast that it did not feel like 33 chapters. Thank you for sharing.

Re: Catwoman story - Parts Thirty-One to Thirty-Three (the end)

Thanks, glad you liked it.

With regards to the Bat/Cat dialogue I may have been leery of invoking the lovesick Catwoman which seems universally reviled. So I kept it businesslike.

The O' names was intentional. It fed off the fact that O'Hara was the typical Irish cop so I just made them all Irish. Most of this was written 4 years ago so don't think it has anything to with what is going on now.

Balding is a in fact a Saved by the Bell reference. Not proud of it. Since they always parodied names I chose the only principal I could think of.
