Burgess Meredith, who was a most familiar face as The Penguin, has a birthday today!!! Born Oliver Burgess Meredith on 16 November 1907 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of a doctor and a Methodist revivalist. When he did the role of The Penguin, he was residing in Rockland County, NY with his wife and two kids. While he died two months short of his 90th birthday, he made quite the impression with his 21 appearances on Batman.
